Alright, i'll give you a brief run down on how to delete units from your pack files

Open pack file mod manager (Run as admin if you have to)

    1) Top left, File - Open , find the pack you are wanting to edit, whether its in your data folder or where you downloaded it

    2) On the left hand side click the dropdown button for (The pack you are editing).pack, then click 'variantmeshes', then 'variantmeshdefinitions'. ( If you don't get it, its right to the left of the pack file, it will be a +, then if you click it, it will become a - )

    3) You will now see the list of units that the mod includes (eg. aux_infantry.variantmeshdefinition)

    4) Choose the units you don't want from the mod, Right click - delete ( Or you could just press the Delete button on your keyboard )

    5) File - Save ( If you want to keep the original pack file, then Save As )

    Good luck!

Quick question, let's say I want to use a model or variantmesh definition for my own mod I am making. Let's say I am making a mod that steals from Kazel's Romans and all I want is the legionary shield, helmet design, and the armor for the legionaries. How would I go about trying to make that mod by using the Pack File Manager? If someone could be kind enough to make a mini step-by-step tutorial, you will receive my gracious thanks.

Hmm i'm afraid what you want to do is not so easy to explain, my advice would be to create a thread in the section Noif suggested.

Most people that come to this section are looking for mods to download, people that check there will have a lot of knowledge on editing and creating units.

I need some help. I just downloaded PFM and I am wondering how to "edit" a mod on the workshop like Kazel's Romans.

    Here's what I want done:

    1) I want to change the Legionary cohort variant mesh so that they do not wear italic helmets, just Gallic helmets.
    2) Revert the shield of the Eagle Cohort so that it is just the Vanilla shield, not Kazel's shield design.

    - Now, I have taken some advice already and deleted the italic helmet from the "models." However, when I play the game, the legionaries only wear the Gallic helmet (which is what I wanted) and the legionaries that would wear the italic helmet just wear nothing.

How can I make it so that all of the legionaries wear the Gallic helmet?

A step-by-step tutorial would be much appreciated if someone would be kind enough to do that. You would receive my gracious thanks.
    -Nick
