Can you use the Anthology edition?

Thinking I am going to use the disc versions instead of the steam for some more stability, and was wondering if it's better to get the individual RTW, BI, and ALEX discs individually or just get the anthology edition. The anthology edition is only $10 online but I don't want to get it if it's incompatible with RSII

As far as I know, RS2 will work with ANY editions patched properly to 1.5(RTW), 1.6(BI), 1.9(ALEX).

I have more than one copy of the Gold Edition(s) - they seem very good indeed and I've never had a problem. In the past (before I extensively tested) I must admit I found the Anthology edition (ie with all 3) not so good and am convinced it was a little 'trimmed'.

I have the Anthology Edition and play RS2 no problem.

I dont know what you mean by 'trimmed' Tedric. Seems to be exactly the same as the individually sold disks which I previously had.
