Look here! Please try and help me!

Ok, i have somewhat of a big problem here. The situation is that when the phone is connected, my internet keeps on disconnecting and reconnecting. But when i unplug my phone, the internet works perfectly. And first i thought it was because the phone and the internet were plugged in in the same "hole in the wall". So now i have moved the whole computer + the internet to another room far away from any phones. But the problem still persists!

Just so you know, i have two wireless phones and a broadband/adsl with wire. If you have any idea, please tell me what you think. I have run out of ideas here... :hmmm:

It can be the internet(broadband) connection itself some internet providers market their product by stating that you can both talk on the phone and surf at the same time. So its probably you ISP that has restricted this. broadband should handle that though so it could be something else :hmmm:

Do you have DSL filters on the phones?

Thanks alot guys. I'm trying different things from the site Peter suggested atm. It's so damn annoying to not be able to know what the problem is!

I'm pretty sure you forgot to install a splitter.

You need to put the splitter before any phone or ADSL devise, like this

outside line
|
splitter-----ADSL modem
|
|---------phone 1
|
|---------phone 2

The splitter is a very small box with 3 or more phine connectors, it should come with your ADSL package.
All it does is devide the frequence bands (one small band for your phones, the rest for ADSL), it doesn't even need a power supply.

I actually found my splitter in a pile of computer wires and other stuff, and connected it between the adsl and the "hole in the wall". I actually had my hopes up for this one, but as i tried it out it didn't work.
But if i understand you correctly, i need to connect the splitter in the main "hole in the wall" right? If so, i will have to move the entire computer + the computer desk AGAIN to the room where the main hole is... The computer is currently in my own room, since the old room where it was standing, was something like Harry Potters room under the stairs... But unfortunetly, that's where the main hole is.

You other guys think it will work? It's not that fun to move the pc so i'll wait and see what everyone else think.

If it has anything to do with the phone line filters then call your provider. That's what I had to do. Something about dropping and reconnecting that had to be reset manually on their end.
