yes definitely, Anisotropic x16 is the best to use
well u can use 16x but u wont be able to see that far unless u re doing a flatland battle and probably dont even notice difference while even playing flatland. so i guess 4x-8x is just fine. ofc use 16x if u have a uber ultra monster brain eater grafic card and it doesnt slow down even if u run at all settings maxedi use 2x AA and 4x Antisotropic at 1280x1024 resolution with all other settings maxed xcept unit detail at Very High(at highest it slows down for some reason. it doesnt even change anything noticable). it runs pretty smooth and i dont even notice difference unless i go "WTF i must see differnce" mode with a magnifier at hand

that's right, some of these max options for rather to test your system power, like benchmarking. There is really not much visible difference between Anisotropic filtering 4x or 16x, beside getting your framerate sink to oblivion.Originally Posted by ebodur
On very high the game engine didn't use sprites, as in RTW, so the 3d models are rendered and textured even if you zoom out max. (use if you pc come from NASA labs...)Originally Posted by ebodur
x16 doesnt hurt my computer at all! lolOriginally Posted by ebodur

Really for any modern graphics card it has no impact on performance at all. There is only about 1 fps difference betweem x4 and x16. I stick with x16.
