ahh..probably belongs to spain...I wonder if every faction has one special unit that only they can recruit in america...
I hope they will be spanish units, it would feel strange for me to fight french, english or even moorish (Originally Posted by talc

I thought they might have guns, o well.

But I guess it's a little bit strange, to recruit your invasion-force in the territory you are going to conquer! :hmmm:
I don't want to look like complete idiot but did native americans(aztec I mean) breed horses? I wonder where these Conquistadores get theirs stallions from. Maybe in tech tree will be a special "new world horse breeder" building to supply these units with horses or you'll have to ship them from Europe or Middle East?.![]()
aztecs didnt breed horses and i think new horses came from europe![]()
O_O "TILT"
Well since you can only recruit them in America it means you will need a province thus you "ship" the horses over.Originally Posted by Foytaz
But Econ on .org noted that there is dismounted version as well.
No orginally natives didnt breed the horses until they all came from EuropeOriginally Posted by Foytaz
Like Neverwinter Nights? Wondering where to go now that the old NWN Vault is gone? Come visit the new one at http://neverwintervault.org/!
I am a bit disappointed , I always supposed that they would look like those instead , at least for the helmet ......
I guess native allies like may be Tlalaxcans and some more....Originally Posted by TB666

The conquistadores that CA released look almost EXACTLY like the ones in Prom's picture. The clothes colour is different but the armor is the same!
Ahhhhhhhh!
On a happier and more sane note, nice unit. Hopefully there are some other cool mercenaries in the Americas.
Mounted/dismounted it doesn't matter - who they are recruited from?, natives?, I don't think so. Still if you even have a provice you have to ship men from motherland of yours and begin colonisation process. Then what is the porpose of these units if you can(must) ship new troops from old world?, anyways too weird for me.
Looks good, Im a bit dissapointed they didnt have those funky helmets that Prometheus pointed out though.
I can understand why you can only have them in America, since they were meant to be invading the Americas and nowhere else. I suppose its just a way of CA ensuring you dont have Conquistadors attacking Jerusalem
Well you can always ship them over to Europe afterwardsOriginally Posted by MadeManG74

nice unit but it lacks the famous spanish helmet.

if someone wants a deeper read on:

I always recognized them by the helmet.

Looks good as a unit but not as conquistadores, like some of the guys in previous reply said, they was recognized by their helmets![]()
