    Default Mini Mod - Srat movement restrictions lifted!!!

    Hi all,

    today's little treat to all you gamers.

    Have you ever had a spy kicked out of a settlement while you were beseiging and not been able to sneak him back in? kind of unrealistic huh? frustrating too! well now you can!!!
    i've work this file a bit over the weekend and made the changes that suite me, if you would like things canged for your own preference and need me to change something please PM me.

    features
    *spy's, Assassin's, diplomats, family members, & armies can now flee the settlement while it beseiged
    *armies & family members can now enter a garrison of a beseiged settlements (please try to keep it realistic by only doing this if the outside army coming in is small, able to sneak in the back hehehe.)
    *spy's, Assassin's, & diplomats can now perform their tasks on besieged settlements

    To install:
    Unzip the attached file to your RTW directory ‘Data’. i.e. “C:\Program files\Activision\Rome – Total War\data\”

    >NOTE: this mod will work in conjunction with most other mods, if you experience any problems please PM me and I’ll look into it for you.

    I’ve noticed that mixed with EB & BBW the file doesn’t work correctly. I think it is because in my moded install I have changed the .cas file that places the siege model on the map, the vanilla model & the one EB uses a model that is recognized as impassable by the engine, the one I use doesn’t.

    The only thing this file changes is the option to move or perform a task, armies are still trapped and spy’s can’t enter\flee the settlement.
    Diplomats and assassins will still perform missions but everything else I aimed for probably won’t work.
    If you need this modified for your preference PM and I’ll edit this file for you.

    I like the idea of spies/diplomats/assassins being able to enter and leave beseiged cities, but not armies -- that defeats the entire point of a seige.

    Can one make it so only small armies can enter the city? Or special units? I guess it's impossible, but I needed to ask...
    Anyway, I didn't no that's possible, so thank you for finding that out!

    Sorry mate this isn’t possible, restrictions are characters, armies, spy, assassin, diplomat, and admiral only. There is no way to script army size or specific units.

    I completely agree with you! I modified this for a friend who is a noobish player who likes things to work the way he wants them too… I have modified the file to my own preferences if your interested. i.e.
    1) diplomats can only start a talk with other diplomats
    2) settlements can’t be bribed
    And that’s it!

    I manipulated myself a little your files in BBW 8.1 and they are not working correctly 8my fault) ....will change it in 8.2
    Your original files are working fine in my mod

    Like this mod very much and use it with Darthmod 8.1. I can reinforce settlement under seiged but I can not sneak army or general out ! I notice the changes you made to the default file but it is not working. I would love to see the option for army to abandon a city and fort under seiged. Plus, the way seige work in TW, it is sort of not realistic or say logical. To consider to be under seiged, all four sides should be surrounded by enemy armies. Thanks.
