Doom fleet, you say?
@Barry Any chance the French wouldn't mind being (literally) shipped to the front line? I ask because over land travel would be an extra RL week of marching, and it seems like the war is gonna be decided in the south against Howe.
@Kip What state is the Navy in, could we even ship them south? I'm not even up to date on your whereabouts so the navy could be on another crazy escapade for all I know.

The fleet (minus Weaver's squadron off of Antigua and MacAuliffe's squadron near the Home Islands) is currently in Boston, so the logistics are there. The merits are up for debate
Fair enough, I can't command you or the French to do anything anyway. But as it stands we have 100,000 Americans(many of which are Militia) up against some 130,000+ British/Tories (all of which are professional) in the south, if our armies lose there it's a straight shot north.

I'll have to take a look at the ship construction coming due the next couple days and compare our forces with the British fleet. I expect a challenge to any landings, and while sacrificing ships is a strategic move I'm willing to make (especially with a French fleet moving in soon to cover any losses), I don't love the idea of rolling the dice with the French army at sea (and neither would France, I assume )
Neither do I, that's why I suggested that they dock in a middle ground port in Patriot control. The best option there being Baltimore as the Brtish ships are all further south, but I suppose letting them sit in Boston is a rather fitting role for the French().
Well, looks like the front line is changing...and unfortunate we don't have the French doom fleet yet.
...I'm guessing the brothers Howe may be moving to Boston as it hasn't been touched by the war since the beginning.

Let them come, we have 50.000 Maroons waiting for them.
"We all know whatmy brother would do. Robert would gallop up to the gates of Winterfell alone, break them with his warhammer, and ride through the rubble to slay Roose Bolton with his left hand and the Bastard with his right. I am not Robert. But we will march, and we will free Winterfell or die in the attempt."
Along with the French Expeditionary Army...and a decent portion of the fleet?
Interesting move by the Howes! While Boston seems to make the most strategic sense (a victory there secures the north like Charleston secured the south), I wouldn't be surprised if this will be an attempt to smash McIntyre or Amsel before they can consolidate their victories.
I have a feeling he will go for Baltimore, but I'm really hoping he goes for Boston. Mostly because the attack would put a damper on whatever shenanigans Kippy's got planned for those Maroons (oh I know you got something brewing Kip, don't lie ).

there is absolutely 100% no Maroon Republic in the planning stages, no siree
So, I'm losing motivation to keep playing.
Game's getting 50% boring and 50% ridiculous.
