    so being a complete and utter noob , I have a question , do i need to download anything expect this mod when Its ready ? I am sure this has been covered am at work and cant really look threw the thread any help would be greatly appreciated . Thank you

    I'm a steam user and just reinstalled medieval 2 and kingdoms when I saw this mod, but I've installed it, and made a kingdoms.exe file (didn't have a launcher so I copied the medieval 2 file which I think was wrong), and I've tried renaming the folder as americas, and right clicking medieval 2 then launching americas through steam and I can't get this mod to work, please help

    Just double click on the AOPK.bat file in the folder you installed it into.

    OK, so first off there was no file named Launcher.exe? Secondly, have you made sure that the age of petty kings folder is spelled correctly "americas". Maybe try launching that two or three times, or try renaming it "teutonic" or what not? If none of that works, then I'm not so sure, sorry...

    Thanks for trying to help me but the mod works now. I downloaded a mod folder from another user here and it worked.

    Hmm yeah. Well the shields represent the 7 KG members, so maybe have the same sigil but replace the shields with white crowns (maybe not as many) to show the Darklyn's as kings at this point?

    I can offer some assistance, especially with the mapping and faction creation. First order of business would be to determine which Vanilla factions should work as a base for what Westeros factions, there are two ways to do this: 1. choose factions after generals voices ex. Stark (scottish), Bolton (Danish)? 2. Original faction colors to help with unit-cards. For example france with it's blue and White would work perfect for both Tarbeck and Manderly. After that adding the factions into the game recuires them having at least one character and one settlement. (Names for these characters can be placeholders for now)

    Sounds good! We can probably use the french for Arryn and portugal for Manderly. After that, I'll have to look into things in more depth... That being said, most of the new factions will have to come from us. Thanks a ton! By the way, we may be able to merge some of the stuff from your Northern mod if we want...

    Yeah, they got the land after defeating a rebel lord. I'm not sure there is a large enough population up there for a town, but I plan on moving it and adding one or two castles to replace it. The Umbers need a third castle, so its probably either that or giving them some mountain clans. Thanks for the help/feedback yall!

    Since Karhold will be a part of House Umbers Kingdom I suggest we move the settlement and rename it (maybe make it a Town?), that way we make Karstarks a part of House Stark and as a part of the Family Tree (since they are kin), same thing can be done with the Greystarks.

    This idea seems absolutely fantastic, I doubt I have the time or skill to add anything, but all the same I'm very excited to see what this becomes.

    OK, I managed to get the WRM map (provided by Stannis the Mannis) into KORAH! I'll now start changing it up a bit to work with the time period (make it look older, add more settlements, etc...). The take-home message is: progress!

    Very cool idea. We desperately need an ASOIAF mod set before the holy war against House Mudd. I just hope it's well executed when the time comes. I noticed a few minor mistakes in the factions list. I'm almost completely sure that the Darklyns were actually First Men and not Andals. House Massey appeared in Westeros around the time of Aegon the Conqueror, and the Crabbs are definitely First Men.

    Well just about all of the Houses in Westeros had their origins in the Age of Heroes, making them technically "First Men". As such, I am assuming that the southern houses interbred/assimilated into the Andal culture. The Masseys are just "Ancient" (I think you're thinking of the House from Driftmark). The books say that the Andals failed to conquer Crackclaw Point, but eventually just married it over to their side. As such, the Crabbs will be "Andal", but will have the option to go back to the Old Gods with a script. Cultural Conversion Scripts are going to be a big thing here, with the Brackens having the option to convert to the Seven, and the Hoares having the option to adopt the Old Ways.
