By comparing the episodicscripting.lua I believe this is compatible for patch 15 & 16 games. Not tested in game though.
Also it looks possible to manually edit the bonus as OP put some notes in guaranteed_empires.lua. The bonus seems a little too huge to me.
is there a tutorial somewhere that shows me how to make the faction changes?
Looks like guaranteed major faction empires isn't working properly with Dei 1.0. its loaded before Dei used it since release of the mod so know the basics.
this battle report should not exist in my opinion. am i wrong?

Thanks for that. If I may ask the "attacker\defender losses modifier" that is set to 0 when rome fights another major faction... does that mean that Rome gets NO casualties at all, or it means the casualties aren't increased at all?

Looks like you may have the problem that your custom factions file has spaces at the end of the faction names.

(NOTE, I lessened the bonuses from 5, 0.1, 0.1, 5 to 0.7, 0.3, 0.5, 0.5 for a "slight" bonus)

You're of course free to edit the script and edit the factions at the bottom of it. Just of course don't release it.

The script is modular so it can be removed or added to a campaign at any point. So you'll be fine editing it and continuing your campaign, the changes should take effect but check the log just to make sure.

Hey Mitch, I really loved this script in Rome 2, I was just wondering if you have any plans for this and Attila? I wouldn't mind if the western empire lasted a bit longer, I never get to take a piece of the cake myself, before it is too late

Mitch made it for maximum compatibility. You can load it anywhere in the order.
