How can such a mod not have its own intro?... EB is certainly an iceberg. Might as well have a tip too.

Roma Surrectum has nice trailers. Something like that could be done for EB...
I think EB should have a bit detailed guide in game, with strategies and units for every faction. That would make each faction unique both in gameplay and culture to a new eb player. Besides, its hard to struggle around wondering why armies are starving, especially if you don't know to check the traits.

Maybe we'll be answered in EB2.![]()
Yeah, I don't think anything is likely to happen regarding those things, unless they're fan made submods. I think the reason there are no faction specific intros is because there can be only one, where as RS2 can because each campaign has it's own mod folder(i think). There are some guides that give you the basics but not for all factions, why does everyine need guides these days for video games, what ever happened to just figuring it out for yourself. I've known people to buy a game along with the walkthrough guide and play the whole game start to finish while following the guide the whole way page for page, wtf.
“The hardest thing in the world is to assume the mood of a warrior. It is of no use to be sad and complain and feel justified in doing so, believing that someone is always doing something to us. Nobody is doing anything to anybody, much less to a warrior.” ― Don Juan
"It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protester to burn the flag." -- Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC
For me, guides are not to learn. They are to see other ideas, opinions and campaigning strategies, with a few new tips. I never follow a guide, but I may use a few parts.

Using a guide depends on the game. If it's an RPG where you just gotta have it all (Legend of Zelda), a guide may be usefull. I never looked at a guide for TW games as they are pretty self-explanatory - in their vanila state. But I can understarnd a few basic guidelines about some mods that change things completely.
Well I did use a unit guide when I started playing RTW and I can tell you personally that it was a good read. I learned a few things that I would have never learned about through simple 'trial and error.' The writer was also pretty funny so it made the guide rather enjoyable.![]()
Oh yeah, I remember that unit guide. I think EB would have benefitted with an identical one, if they didn't have so many units. I know I'm nitpicking, but it's very offsetting to hear the same voices as before on the campaign map. Also, the Punic commanders say the same thing so many times, it drives me nuts. Never continously order your soldiers to run, unless you want to go mad.
