It is! The other one I would have accepted was Disney's massive party in California. Snow White was the first animated feature length film. What is more it was the first animated film in color. It made so much money that Walt decided to throw huge parties for his staff. The party got so wild that people were getting drunk, jumping out of windows, and taking up all the hot tubs and pools in the clubs during the middle of the night. Walt was so embarrassed that he decided never to speak about that day again. It was also one of the events that made him start to look down on his staff (the other one was the massive union strike).

Correct. The Tulsa Massacre that was perpetrated exactly 100 years ago, May 31 through June 1, 1921 in the Greenwood neighborhood of Tulsa, Oklahoma. In view of its centennial anniversary, one thought it was worth mentioning.

Looks like Italian satire about the upcoming Spanish-American war. I don't see any reference to USS Maine, so it must be before the escalation of the tensions. The cartoonists had a field day with piccolo king Alphonse XIII.

It's true that the letter N inscribed below the bust may indicate Nancy Hanks Lincoln, but that's not the correct answer. I can't find any other images of the event, but these soldiers were involved, in the side of the would-be assassin.

Since no one has given the answer...

It is the 1812 coup against Napoleon. General Malet escaped prison and using forged documents convinced the Paris guard and elements of the army that Napoleon had died. He attempted to give orders to General Hulin, but when he questioned the veracity of Malet's claims the latter shot Hulin. Finally colonel Doucet recognized Malet as an escaped prisoner and had him arrested, then the coup was put down. Malet and his conspirators were all executed by firing squad after being sentenced as traitors.

The priest escaped and one of them was pardoned to the surprise of Napoleon himself. They also shot quite a few officers that took the bait and obeyed Malet. The grenadier belongs to the municipal guard of Paris, whose commander was easily manipulated by Malet. The unit was subsequently abolished. + rep and off you go!

No one knows who did it or why it even happened.
