The Beirut barrack bombings?

Correct, the bombing of the Beirut barracks of the US marines and a French parachute regiment in 1983. This, along with 2 truck bombings of the US embassy ('83 + '84) led to the withdrawal of US forces from Lebanon which instigated the collapse of the Lebanese army and all out civil war. after that everything was more, ...complicated.
Thank you!

Assassination of Nazım Pasha. Thought at first it was the murder of Mahmud Shevket Pasha, but turned out the latter was killed while in his car, as a revenge for the murder of the former.
Indeed it is! He was the Ottoman chief of staff during the first Balkan War, and he was assassinated in the 1913 coup by members of the Committee of Union and Progress

Exactly. The murder of Zwingli.
His career in a nutshell: 1) Fight the oppression by the religious establishment 2) Become the religious establishment, oppressing those nonconforming and destroying nonconforming art 3) export his religion by violent means, pushing for war... aaaand that's where he failed. He was caught and executed.
Your turn and consider giving guessing the battle a go as well.
Someone else please rep him! I can't.

The victorious commander was the son of a king and the brother-in-law of an emperor.
repped. searching for battle
I assume you're talking about Francois d'Orleans, son of the French king and brother in law of Pedro I., the emperor of Brazil.
The coast can be seen in the background, and 3 battles come to mind. I'll guess the bombardment of Mogador.
Dammit I just spend two hours pulling out my hair trying to find it. I was so close..
Some Tipps? Looks very strange...
Not sure how no one could guess this one. It shows one of Heron of Alexandria's famous inventions. An automated play that lasted more than 10 minutes.
It had several easy right answers. To list 4 that come to my mind:
1) The invention of robotics
2) The invention of binary programming
3) The first practical use of the steam engine (not sure about this one, but I'd've let this one count, since the it's at the very least representative for that)
4) The first automated play
...and probably some other possible answers that I would've accepted. The only conditions being that it be more or less correct and formulated as an event. So even a wild guess would've had a high chance of success.
I think I've had enough of this game.
