general's body guard unit amount

I was wondering what determines the amount of men in a general's body guard unit. I've noticed a lot of the older generals have a lot of men but i thought maybe that was because most old generals have a lot of command points, influence, etc and that was wut determined the amount. i've been fightin against gaul and spain (unit scale large) and i have a commander with 6 command stars but he only has 28 men and a general for spain has 53. does anyone know wut exactly determines how many men are in a general's body guard unit?

It's the amount of influence wreaths the general has.

And personal security rating of the general.

Age does not affect the bodyguard strength except perhaps if he is picking up bad traits that reduce security or influence.

Also faction leaders and faction heirs have a larger bodyguard unit.

Which is due only to the increased influence and personal security that goes with being faction leader.
