OOC: This takes place well after the Kingsmoot, chronologically. I know that RP is still happening. Axis and Jokern, this cannot have an influence on your Kingsmoot RP.

A fleet of ships appeared, approaching the vast port of Orkmont, flying a flag of a lion rampant clutching an anchor: the sigil of House Blackswain. The Black Fleet had arrived. The hundred and sixty two ships, lead by the squadron six of multi-decked battleships, sailed into the port in formation, flags and sails fully unfurled and crews visible upon their decks, horns blaring.

Aboard the Widdower, Ramsay Blackswain, Lord Captain of the Black Fleet, stood at the prow of the ship watching the port come closer and closer, locals gathering to see the arrival of the unknown fleet, a lone rider visibly heading towards the Lord's seat. His ship was at the tip of the V formation adopted by the battleships leading the fleet to harbour, giving him unhindered view of the entire settlement.

Weighing anchor in the bay, the largest ships of the fleet soon unleashed a swarm of rowboats as men went ashore, while the smaller vessels drew up on the piers directly. Ramsay, as his ship was in the fleet, stood at the head of the foremost rowboat. Were it not for the calm demeanour of the affair, one might think the port was being invaded, but this was a mission of friendship, as odd as that sounded to Ramsay.

Grinding to a halt on the sand, Ramsay leapt off his boat, landing with a thud in the soft sand, before starting a walk towards the port itself. He wore a leather chestplate beneath a coat of furs, unbuttoned to show the armour and sword hanging at his waist. Flanked by a dozen guardsmen and sailors, he approached the gathering crowd of locals who had arranged themselves along the main street. At the end of that street, a group of armed men had recently dismounted and stood lined up, awaiting the growing procession of Shield Islanders as they converged from their various ships and boats.

"Hail!" shouted Ramsay as he approached the men, "The Black Fleet arrives!"

It was a sight to see the arrival of the Black Fleet. And it was pleasant for Victarion to see his task had been fulfilled, he would earn good fortune from his brother for this. As a few ships came to shore and the local people of Orkmont gathered to see what was going on, the guards rushed forward to prepare for anything. However, the port's captain who was leading the guards noticed Victarion Greyiron make an appearance. He bows his head, ordering the guards to part. Ramsay Blackswain would see the guards part, revealing Victarion. He offers the man a grin.

My brother, Lucimore Greyiron, will be very pleased with this. This civil war is all but won.

Victarion looks past Ramsay to look upon the reinforcements, his gaze then turns back to the Blackswain.

How many did you bring with you, Lord Captain?

"One hundred and sixty two ships," said Ramsay with a grin, "6 battleships, 48 Galleys and 108 other vessels. What ships have you to your command, and what of the enemy?"

Behind the pair, unnoticed for now due to the depth of the crowd of Blackswain men, a low murmur was arising and the crowd began parting as a second group of men made their way towards the front.

We have one hundred and seventy ships. Twenty four warships, thirty galleys, thirty-three dromonds, and ninety-one support vessels. The pride of the Grey Fleet.

Victarion glances once more at the fleet brought by the Lord Captain then looks at Ramsay.

I know that the Greyjoys have around a hundred vessels. No word on the Harlaws numbers. However, that could change. The Sea Dragon King should be returning shortly from his task with my half-brother and twin sisters.

"With 332 ships at our command we'll sweep aside both fleets without contest," said Ramsay with a harsh laugh, "The crown will rest on Lucimore's head as sure as the sun rises each day. Where is Lucimore? We must plan this conquest of his."

He looked back at his men briefly, before double taking. Both he and Victarion watched as the crowd parted, the open gap coming closer and closer to the fore, like watching the shadow of a shark racing through the water just below the surface towards prey. Someone was approaching the group, someone important enough that the crowd was moving immediately out of his way.

Eventually, the first ranks moved aside, quickly bowing their heads and tipping their caps or tapping their forehead with their knuckles, as an older man walked forth. Wearing a heavy coat of furs, weathered from regular use at sea, a woolen cap from which his thin shoulder-length, wiry hair hung down, simple leather trousers and boots, and a chestplate of studded leather bearing the Blackswain symbol, the Tyrant of Crakehall himself, Lord Horas Blackswain, emerged from the crowd. Those who recognised him knew to move aside, but to any other he would appear as any other sailor.

He walked slowly to the two men, Ramsay with a look of utter surprise on his face. No one had informed him Horas was with the fleet, and it seemed from the looks of many that few indeed knew.

"Victarion. Brother." said Horas flatly as he stopped before the two men, "Take me to Lucimore."

OOC: It would take longer than a day for a Raven to reach the Shield Islands and then for the fleet to sail up to Orkmont. This would be taking place well after the Kingsmoot, surely?

Victarion notices Ramsay double taking. He looks as well, noticing another opening in the crowd. From the gestures of the soldiers that were brought ashore, it was quite clear to Victarion who this may be. He only met the man once, when the arrangement of marriage between himself and Berena Blackswain was being negotiated. Victarion remained quiet as Horas came forth. Before Victarion could speak, a hand was felt upon his shoulder as Rodrik 'Half-Iron' appeared. He gestures in the direction they were going.

Lucimore is this way. He is inspecting the Grey Fleet from the shorelines.

Rodrik then gestures for them to follow. The bastard brother of Victarion and Lucimore quietly leads them down the shoreline. After a long walk with the only sound being the sea licking the shores of Orkmont, they came across a small camp. A few Ironborn patrol the area. Within the camp were various commanders and notable gentry of Orkmont who were walking around and preparing for battle. Rodrik leads the trio towards the sea where Lucimore is standing in the water up to his kneecaps. The Iron Twins, Ynys and Yara watch quietly with the Drowned Priest, Balon Greyheart, present as well. After a few moments, Lucimore glances behind him and then turns, walking out of the sea. His eyes look at Horas and Ramsay Blackswain, then to his brother, Victarion.

Our victory is secure thanks to the tasks we have completed, Victarion. You have secured the support of the Blackswains and I have gained the submission of Lord Harlaw and his supporters. That adds another one hundred ships to our fleet. That bastard, the Grey Kraken...his days are numbered and the Driftwood Crown will be upon my head.

Lucimore pats his brother on the shoulder, then passes Victarion, looking at the two Blackswains. Victarion clears his throat and gestures to them.

    Brother, this is...

I know who they are, Victarion. I remember these faces well from the negotiations long ago that got you your wife.

(Yes this is in the later part of the day after the Kingsmoot.)

Ramsay had fallen in behind Horas, aware that he was no longer the speaker for the Blackswain presence. Though he had looked forward to the freedom and power that would come from commanding the Black Fleet alone, he was both too fearful of his brother and aware that he wouldn't have come - in secret - if not for something serious.

"Lucimore," said Horas, standing before the would-be King, who was both taller and broader than the ageing Horas, "We have come. Victarion and Ramsay have informed me of your position, it would seem the war is all but won."

That seems to be the viewpoint, Horas. But numbers will not win the day, it is skill, the skill to maneuver the waves and channel the wind.

Lucimore looks once more at the Grey Fleet as commanders and squadrons preform necessary exercises for tomorrow's battle.

The Grey Kraken has three times my experience, though only a hundred ships. We will have to see if the Grey Kraken lives up to the reputation I have heard of from the mouths of sailors.

Tomorrow, that is when I declared the battle would be. A grand battle at sea to determine who would be the next Iron King and successor to the mess my uncle left behind.

"Very well," said Horas, "I shall be on my ship. When your fleet sails mine will sail with it."

He turned to depart, walking back along the shore to where the Black Fleet was moored. Speaking to Ramsay, he said, "You will command the fleet in battle, brother. Shatter the foe."

Ramsay only muttered his acknowledgement, still trying to make sense of Horas' appearance and the secrecy he travelled in.

Lord Greyjoy arrives with his ship the Golden Twins at the port on Orkmont a calm day, together with his crew of fifty men in heavy armor and battle-axes in their belts. Harmund himself wore a boiled leather jerkin over a grey wool jacket, black breeches and boots and his twin swords in his belt, all covered in a black cloak with golden borders and the golden kraken of his house. By now his wound had healed up and he could walk without much problem. Lord Greyjoy and his crew made their way to King Lucimore's castle with the invitation in hand.

Lord Greyjoy was permitted to enter while his crew remained outside the castle. He was escorted into the main keep where the King was examining a map quietly of the Reach, Westerlands, Riverlands and the Iron Islands. His brothers, Victarion and Rodrik 'Half-Iron' were speaking with him quietly. He looks up when his ears catch the foots of his sentries, escorting Harmund. He dismisses his brothers with a gesture and looks at Harmund.

My Lord Greyjoy, how is your leg? Looking much better now as I can see. Which I am glad to see.

Harmund joins Lucimore, making a quick bow before answering.

"Yes, it is as good as new right now. And I hope House Greyiron have been faring well."

He quickly glances at the map. There were several good places along the coast of Westeros ripe for reaving. The abundant South, the rich West, the Rivers and Hills, even the great North. Everything but the Blackswain lands could be taken. Good enough for the Greyjoys.

"So, what have you planned for the green landers, iron king?"

Well, I have a few plans I wish to speak with you about, Lord Greyjoy. And hopefully our Lord Admiral will be joining shortly.

Lucimore moves one of the standards of the Greyirons and placing it upon the Crag in the Westerlands.

I have a grand ambition, Lord Greyjoy. One that will give great profit to this Kingdom...the conquest and integration of the Westerlands into our Kingdom. A long term goal, but one that will give us immense riches and land.

Now that was a grand prize, Harmund thought. The great gold mines of the Westerlands always drew greedy eyes to them... they were also the source of the might the lords of the west and the kings of the Rock held. A war with the West would be a bloody business and the lack of manpower on the Isles didn't help their goals. Some would call him craven, but Harmund knew the difference between looting a castle and holding it.

Lord Greyjoy kept looking at the Westerlands and noticed the lands south of the Lannister lands. The Blackswains. Of course, the ones who aided this bastard in taking the Driftwood Crown were also their allies now. Harmund didn't trust the greenlanders. Even if their ways were close to his own, they were no ironborn. Besides, they matched the Rock in size, most likely in manpower as well. What said they wouldn't turn on their own allies?

"That is not easily achievable, if we are even capable to do so. The Crag won't be a problem, they are close to the Isles, only a day's journey from Pyke. The whole West, though... we are ironborn, our strength is the sea, the ships our horses and the fleets our hosts. Going too far inland, especially into a mountainous region like the Westerlands, spells our defeat without aid from the green lands. I suppose the Blackswains will support us allies, but what is to say they won't take it all after we've bled and fought for all the gold of Casterly Rock? Do you really trust them?"

    Speaking of the Blackswains...

Lucimore turns his gaze from the map to Harmund Greyjoy.

Horas Blackswain offered the submission of House Blackswain and their territory to this Kingdom. It is a sign from the Drowned God, Harmund. A sign that we are destined to conquer the Westerlands. With the encompass of the Blackswain's territory, we gain another almost two hundred ships and thousands of fresh troops who are more capable for inland combat. This offer is exactly what we need, Lord Greyjoy.

He gestures to the southern part of the Westerlands and the Shield Islands. Then he places several figures on the north and southern ends of the Westerlands, with ships coming in from the West.

With the inclusion of the Blackswains, we will have plenty of manpower and ships to spare. A series of campaigns that collectively become a massive pincer maneuver, in which we engulf the Westerlands and any who oppose us. Our ships will be overflowing with gold, our beds warmed with many salt wives and our coffers barely containing the loot of a whole region.

Lucimore sweeps away the Lannister figures from the map. They clank upon the floor, echoing across the hall. The King's gaze looks up at Harmund.

With this conquest, Lord Greyjoy, the Ironborn name will be feared eternally. Our names will be remembered forever for this grand conquest. And no one...will ever forget that.

Lord Admiral Rodrik Harlaw steps off of Ironskull and approaches the keep of Orkmont. He stands close to seven feet tall, and can easily look over the heads of most men. He is well muscled, respected by most ironborn as a reaver and a leader, and feared by others. Many of the Harlaw vassal felt that he should have made a bid for the throne himself, but he had supported his brother, and now he had been granted the position of Lord Admiral by the same brother. All told, he was happy with the outcome. He strode into the throne room, wearing his great black cloak that bore his own personal sigil, the silver harlaw scythe, bisected by a dark grey skull. His fifty mail-armored warriors waited in the barracks, and Rodrik entered the keep alone, with his great battleaxe slung over his back, and a throwing axe and sword at his hip.

He enters the throne room and bows before the king, then notices Harmund and gives him a nod of acknowledgement. He waits for one of the two men to speak.
