Uh, Wheatley, you cannot simply just say that you married you heir to the daughter. This should have required some rolls form the mods and possibly concessions from you for this to work out.

It would be too easy for a player to just marry off his heir for the sake of gaining another Lord's land without their being some drawbacks (like having to pay a dowry or something similar).

I or another mod will take a look at your thread and determine what you need to do if anything to obtain God's Grace.

I just assumed that it was a one time thing the players would use to get another HL. The rules didn't specify much else.

Wheatley: An old Lord that conveniently has only a daughter? Fair enough you misunderstood it was a 'get your first HL for free' card, but that's a bit too convenient. Conquest through marriage is going to have to be far sneakier than that. On a level with Ponti's Aurelia Lannister taking effective control of the Seven Kingdoms sneaky.

Guys, you're not getting it. The marriage thing is not the easy option, it's the "if you're a political genius here's a reward for it" option, and will probably be more of a PvP thing than PvAI thing. You will not be getting an easy free province on day one by having conveniently located neighbours whose only issue is a single daughter, allowing an easy takeover.

I'm going to drop the wait until 12 hours instead of 24 hours, but the limit I placed was to make sure you didn't just raise your levies again to get better rolls.

All should also note that any form of taking control of another High Lordship except marriage counts as a conquest and will incur -3 Stability. There is no way around the Stability penalty.

I moved it to the Feast of Crows but I not certain that it was necessary. It's an RP thread with a battle so it technically could be in either forum.
