So.. gents,
I regret to inform all of you that there seems to have been a major, fundamental misunderstanding between Poach, the original progenitor of the Post-Andal Invasion setting, and the rest of us. Poach intended for all the players to RP as the new Andal ruling class, with the invaders fully and permanently settled in Westeros for good; Characters would be the Andal houses, and form up the kingdoms we know as the Seven Kingdoms today (sans the North, I suppose).
The rest of us, however, interpreted the setting as an "First Men v.s. Andals" scenario, comparable to Sub-Roman Britain.
The fact of the matter is that the latter scenario requires a lot of reconfiguration of the rules and many new additions (completely untested!) to make it work.
The former setup, while admittedly droll for many who were hoping to play the 'culture war', would require little change, as Poach tried to make us understand before he realized we were never on the same page.
So, here is a new poll;
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Settings:
I - 1000 Years, Post Bellum
This is the setup that Poach originally intended.
The Andal people have completely conquered all of Westeros south of the Neck, and what was not conquered was married into (except for the North).
The North is unplayable, and the petty kingdoms are ruled by Andals or Andal-ized nobles.
First Men are unplayable on a base level, with exception of houses such as the Blackwoods.
The Iron Islands have not yet been invaded by the Andals.
This setting would be immediately available, and even playable on Friday, the 21st of February.
NB: Current Claims will stand, and can be reconfigured for the setting change if need be.
Example: House Mudd becomes House Teague.
or
II - 100 Years, In Bellum
This is the setup that was anticipated by most(?).
Geographically, southern Westeros is now, for the most part, evenly divided between Andal kingdoms and First Men kingdoms.
It has been 100 years since the Andals first came to Westeros, and the wars of culture, conquest, and religion wage on between the Andals and First Men.
The Andals seek to conquer and swallow up land, seeking riches and prosperity at the expense of their hated First Men enemies.
The First Men continue to bicker amongst themselves, as the Andals do, but dream of sending the Andal invaders back into the sea from whence they came.
This setting would require a good bit of work, and will not be immediately available.
or
III - Smelly Hippy
This means you do not care for either setting, and would prefer something else entirely.
If you choose this, you do not belong here and should just leave.
