Unlocking non playable factions in custom battle?
Not sure if this is where to put this -
I built my Caledone faction mod, which includes a full roster and unlocks them within campaign. (working on full faction traits and the like)
However after a good bit of searching I cannot find a tutorial on how to unlock them in custom battle....?
I downloaded the all factions unlocked mod and studied it abit, but I'm just not sure exactly what it is I need to do here. Help/direction appreciated.
Cheers

Re: Unlocking non playable factions in custom battle?
I know nothing about R2TW and don't own it, but in ETW (and probably NTW, haven't looked at it) there are fields on the factions table (add a faction table to your mod pack with the PFM, copy-paste Caledonia's entry into it) which control that. Somewhere there should be a field labelled something like "MP Availability" or "Early Availability" or something similar. You would just change the "false" value to "true".
Unless the file system is totally different, but I assume it's not since it's still the Warscape engine.

I tried this too, and those labels were present, and the factions which were playable in custum battle were checked, but I changed it for the faction of my own mod and it didn't work.

Make your mod pack a patch type instead of a pack type, then it should work. I find that patch mods work better than pack, but you have to remove the pack if you want to run any other mods (a good practice anyway)

Just add your mod within another person's mod if it's not working.
To add it to custom battles you must add them to your unit custom battle permissions directory file.
