EB for Barbarian Invasion via Steam?

Hey guys,

I had just realized that I had posted this to the wrong section of the forums so hopefully the mods can get rid of that one.

Anyways! I'm experimenting with mods for Rome TW for the first time (and I've owned the game for 5 years now :/ ) and I have just finished trying out RS2 (didn't much care for it). I want to try EB though, I've heard great things about it. Problem is, I hear you can install EB for different versions like Alexander or Barbarian Invasion?

I am very poor with setting up mods (took me 4 hours to install RS2 properly) but I am wanting to play EB for BI (Gold edition from steam) very badly. I have looked at many guides (of which are all outdated or highly convoluted) and I am having to resort in asking the community here in what to do.

I know it requires a great deal of work to provide step by step directions to make this work properly but I feel that many people currently still wish to use this mod and are new to mods. Hopefully we can get a concise and updated guide for users here.

From what I understand, I need to

1. Install EB1.1.exe into my Rome Total War Gold folder ( found through Program Files (x86) pathway for steam games.)
2. Install EB1.2 patch into same file?
3. Install essential fixes (I think) into same file?

Do I install these files into the Gold file or in the BI file that's located in the Gold file?

I know.......I'm completely lost....

Any help would be so very greatly appreciated.

1. That's right, install EB 1.1 into the RTW Gold folder in your program files->steam->steamapps->common->Rome Total War Gold
2. Do the exact same thing with 1.2 (Don't forget to delete the text in the square boxes AFTER you choose your directory)
3. Extract essential fixes into program files->steam->steamapps->common->Rome Total War Gold->EB->Data,
4. Download EB for BI installer
5. Install the EB for BI into your RTW gold directory like you did with 1.1 and 1.2
6. Go to your Steam library, right click on RTW, select properties, select set launch options and copy and paste this: "-show_err -nm -mod:EB", without the " " (NOTE-DON'T FORGET TO LEAVE 1 SPACE AT THE BEGINNING)
7. Right click RTW and click Launch RTW BI

Hope that helped, I just got EB for Alexander to work last night.
