Third age v1.5

first of all:
hello @ all here and big thx for this really wonderful game!
probably somebody could help: i have the german medieval 2 tw+kingdoms gold version from green pepper. i installed the TW_GOLD_Kingdoms_Patch_Germany v1.5... i have the green pepper version from medieval, like the pyramid version it needs the kingdoms exe from sega, i downloaded this too and copypaste it, so now i can start game again. but the problem is that i do not know for sure wheater i have 1.5 because in the optionsmenu still version 1.4 is shown, and in hotseat still 1.4 is shown. but when i push the setup from patch, setup says: v1.5 is already installed.
so now my question, is there any other possibility to check wheater i have 1.4 or 1.5? any in game changed features that are easy too proof?

Start one of your Kingdoms campaigns and it should say 1.5 when you go to Options. M2TW is 1.4.

when i start a kingdoms campain, then go on options, v1.4 is shown. the normal m2tw is v1.3.. hotseat in third age is v1.4.
its because, like i said, i deleted the kingdom exe after installing the patch 1.5. i deleted the exe because the game couldnt start otherwise (wrong cd), then insert the sega kingdoms exe (uac off).. i heard when you insert that exe, the game is patched v1.5 but always 1.4 still will be shown.
so, are there any other possibilitys to check wheater i have 1.4 or 1.5?

Uh sorry, M2TW is 1.3, and the 1.4 and 1.5 are Kingdoms versions. To play TATW 3.2 you don't need patch 1.5, unless you want to play hotseats with others, then if someone has 1.5, and you have 1.4 version, I think you won't be able to play.

I never had this problem with the launcher, and don't have experience with german version. Have you checked online for similar problems? Google is your friend..

Doesn't Steam have an option where you give the CD key and you can download the game from Steam? The Steam version is used by a lot of people so it's probably worth trying.

It's 1.05, not 1.5.

Go into one of the Kingdoms campaigns and click "Options". The version will appear in the top right corner.

You can also right click on the Kingdoms executable, then click "Properties", then "Version", and it will tell you.

I think ulfi knows what version he has , and that 1.05 is the same thing as 1.5.

He already checked what Kingdoms version he has.

The fellow from CA who labeled these patches as he did, should get fired.. Oh wait, he did get fired, along with the rest of Australian team.

@ ulfi, your problem is the launcher, you said you have deleted the new one ( 1.5/1.05 ) and used the old one.. Did you install the game in either Program Files or Program Files(x86)?

Also, test to start one of your Kingdoms campaign from Start - All Programs - Sega - M2TW - one of your Kingdoms folder - Launcher. Then check what version does it show.

Describing the patches in an incorrect manner is detrimental to people's understanding. When I got the game I had to make a thread just to ask if by 1.5 the people on the forum meant 1.05. I was pretty sure they did, but I didn't want to screw up the installation. Technical language should always be as precise as possible to avoid confusion.

Now everyone who had a hand in Rome 2 has to get fired and CA will be in a great position to actually make a good game.

I know that 1.5 is actually 1.05 ( it stands in my game too

) and ulfi knows what is his current version too, and I had been PM-ed couple of times about this mistake made by the guys at the official TW Forum: http://forums.totalwar.com/showthrea...nsion-Patches?

All of their patches are labeled as seen in that thread. If people are confused about the patch number, they will ask.

i installed the game in programms(x86)... and main game is v1.03, kingdoms v1.04..

arent there any ingame-changes from m2tw after installing the 1.05patch, that i can check easily for changes compared: vanilla m2tw (kingdoms) gold (no patch) -vs- m2tw (kingdoms) v1.05?
for example in the text from 1.05patch stands: ''forts in the crusade game are now made of stone'' then i could start game and see wheater the forts have changed or not, if changed then i have 1.05 if not, the patch installation failed. but which forts they mean? hmmm...

The method I used was going into the Teutonic campaign, selecting Teutonic order, and killing off my FL turn 2, and then seeing if the new one had the model.
