After the release of the Beasts of War dlc I intended to create a mod that would turn the Mercenery Syrian Armoured Elephant unit unit into a non-mercenery regular unit in the Seleucid unit roster.
I did this by following a pfm tutorial here, creating a new pack and extracting these tables into that pack:
building_units_allowed_tables
cdir_military_generator_unit_qualities_tables
commander_unit_permissions_tables
land_units_tables
land_units_to_unit_abilities_junctions_tables
main_units_tables
unit_set_to_unit_junctions_tables
unit_variants_tables
units_custom_battle_permissions_tables
units_to_groupings_military_permissions_tables
land_units.loc
I edited these tables to add my values, but as a result I got this in my game:
I get two identical mercenery syrian armoured elephants instead of an additional non-mercenery syrian armoured elephant.
What am I doing wrong?
Is there an additional table that I should have extracted and edited into my pack?
Or is the mistake to be found within the tables that I already have in my pack?
I know that this must work somehow, because there are mods out there that make a Vetern Hoplites unit out of the Mercenery Veteran Hoplites unit.
If you need it, I will upload my pack for you to examine.
And if you have a saved Seleucid campain with a fully built military chain, would you be willing to test my pack to see how the elephants are added into the campain?
