Default DirectX 10 Cards will they be PCI-E Only???

Well been thinking of buying a new card, had my card I have at minute since Early August 2004 (Geforce FX5900xt) and few months ago I have been thinking of buying new card but on my AGP Motherboard, but over clocked it instead due to I did not have money to afford a new card and been working great on 777 MHz instead of 390 MHz when bought it. And know i have the cash to pay for new card* thinking of DirectX10 Cards and wondering if they bring out DirectX10 Cards on AGP. Or will have upgrade to PCI-E later on next year

    Thanks

    * Price Range - £125 for AGP Card

wait....what? you got almost a 100% overclock out of the card? Somehow that doesnt seem possible.

No Voltage modding, BIOS modding or anything just using cool bits

You've been fooled by the nVIDIA control panel. It said you got 777mhz, but in reality your only running it at 388.5mhz. The control panel listed it as 2 x the memory frequency, I think its got something to do with dual channel.

That would seem stupid to allow for AGP support. Just buy a new computer with Vista on it when the time comes. DX10 will only be out on full for Vista with the latest cards which will all be PCI-E. AGP is outdated and slow anyway, I would definitely advise a PCI-E computer considering the minimum for low-level DX10 cards will be around $250 and add another two hundred for vista, you could just get a new computer and upgrade it as DX10 becomes more necessary and supported.

Hmm, I doubt DX10 will have any AGP cards, they will all probably be PCIe x16, infact the really high end ones might even be PCIe x32! But AGP is old and dated, DX10 is meant to modernise the graphic world, I cant see them using old AGP.

Next year i better just build a PC myself save some cash and learn along the way.

@krazykarl I Assume you should not be able to overclock that far without any BIOS,voltage chnages, As you say its nearly 100% overclocked to excact 2Mhz off 100% Overclocked and works as well and stable as 390Mhz

Guess as many here that AGP is history soon...next step is PCI-E.

I thought you were refering to the core frequency, not the memory. The memory I can believe, but not a 777mhz core on a 5900XT.

I can only say that DX10 requires Vista and Vista requires alot of processing power. I see it as good as dead since DX10 is more complicated and should not function going 8x. IMO only and I will research and see what I can find.
