    Here is the rule:

Sallying from a settlement under siege is not allowed if it results in the settlement falling to the besieging force immediately thereafter (on your turn)
This would happen if Mordor sallied out and was defeated in battle, thereby handing the settlement to Gondor immediately. If this is the case, then Chieftain is correct that it is not allowed.

I'm giving Gimli until tomorrow night to replay. Otherwise I will sub Mordor (I still remember the password, I think). I don't see any other option, other than to let this HS die.

Mordor subbed (per Gimli’s request). After seeing Mordor’s turn, the battle where Boromir was killed could definitely not have been allowed. Odds for Mordor were 1:2, and based on that and the army compositions, it must have taken an extremely lucky result to achieve even a close defeat. It wouldn’t have been fair to Gondor, who should be rewarded for executing a very nice divide and conquer maneuver.

I didn’t take any liberties in the north, no scouting or the like to aid my faction (OOTMM) against SE in any way. I learned nothing from subbing Mordor which I didn’t already know. Hopefully Gimli will take his next turn and we can get back to normal.

More dead Rohirrim. They need to spend less time riding their horses and more time digging graves!

Celeborn is defeated, his half of the main elven army routed by a larger force of goblins. SE fell victim to the old “two generals in one army” trick. You can’t necessarily rely on the yellow movement indicators when there are two or more generals in an army. You have to do your homework and make sure the general not in command isn’t giving you a false indicator.

The remaining half of the elven army is trapped, and will have to fight its way out. Which they may very well be able to do, despite being outnumbered almost 2:1 and with no commander. But it should cost them several hundred more elves, even if they are able to pull out a victory.

Celeborn and all of the defeated units inside Cerin Amroth are not allowed to move next turn.

Legions of Orcs came from the plains of Gorgoroth and the threat of evil had to be answered. Osgiliath was fortified but Cair Andros was lost. In an attempt to hold both cities, Mordor split its armies. Boromir and his host saw a chance to close in the orcs on the Eastern part of the city Osgiliath. Succesfully they managed to behead every single orc inside.

Wow, you lost a lot more men than I expected. I forgot how powerful siege defense AR can be sometimes.

Themzr already asked me to sub Isengard, so obviously I will not be doing both. If we even make it to Rohan prior to the 27th, I'll ask Gondor to sub.

For now let's hope Gimli will continue playing Mordor, or this will become a very 'subby' hotseat as well ..

Isengard subbed per themzr's request, and OOTMM played. No battles for either faction, due to the ineffectiveness of our spies.

Minas Morgul and Cirith Ungol taken both with overwhelming odds (~2000vs~300), the latter with the help of spies. Undefended Tir Ethraid captured and the Nazgul Dawndeath is killed.
