Dvd Reader V's Dvd Writer.
I just saw a post on getting a DVD/CD-ROM Drive for gaming rather than DVD Writer, because it's seek times(if you buy the right one are quicker).
I have a reasonably fast New PC ready for MTW2 and I have bought fast components, ie:2GB of expensive fast RAM(nicely overclocked) and a Raptor HDrive to help overall performance. What I forgot was the right, DVD Drive, speed? The point being I don't like the idea of expensive components, being let down for the want of a an £11 DVD-ROM Drive!
I bought a Samsung DVD Writer with a seek time of 130ms, and a Buffer size of 2MB. Would a plain DVD-ROM Drive with a seek time of 100ms and a Buffer size of 512KB, be quicker for just playing Games on? Both drives have DVDX16 and CDX48 for read.
I don't know how the increased Buffer size works but the plain DVD-ROM Drive, seems to have a seek time 30%faster, or is the difference so small that I shouldn't bother about it????
Thanks in advance, for any useful comments!

DVD/CD drives makes no difference in games, since all the modern games copies all the files to the hard drive for faster loading times.
