    Default Assembly kit, could someone give me a push into the right direction?

    Hi there,

    Im looking into changing the starting position for Rome and Carthage.

    I want to give Rome, Velathri and Ariminum.
    I'd also like to give Alalia to the Carthaginians.

    This should be possible now if I am not mistaken with assembly kit, but how?

    Google shows me tutorials of the old Rome game which is irrelevant.

    Im still poking around in the files but I cant really find it, I've found regions and settlements so far but nothing that consists of the Player start files.

    You should look at Total War: Rome II Workshop to find an asnswer to your questions.

    Although this is a database table it's not a normal DB table you'd expect to see in the PFM, its use is solely to be read and implemented into a newly generated ESF file. Hence if creating a mod that only has region changes expect to have BOB produce an startpos.esf file on its own and not a mod.pack. As it isn't a pack file you're making the final stage in BOB is a bit different, you need to select from the working data tree view the campaign you've edited from the campaign folder and not the mod.pack in the retail tree view, then hit Start.

    Its also worth noting I haven't tested this with a region capital, or a region with an army in it. It's likely other changes will be necessary in these situations but otherwise it's just the one value. Pretty easy.

    Assembly is used for low level programming - im using it for microcontrollers.

    Well im trying but still no changes, im able to make the pack file and enabling it.

    Mitch mentiones he havent tested it with a capital hence what etruscans have.. Maybe thats why?

    Actually never mind it did work it just interfered with a mod I have, thank you for the quote from mitch!

    If i try to give Carthage all the settlements that Libya and Nova Carthago has it wont compile, but some other factions it works.

    Is there anything special with Libya and Nova Carthage as it wont let me? something that the campaigne is requires to have?
