Default How do I use .dds files as variant models (armour, swords, etc)?

Could anyone tell me how I use .dds files as variant mesh files? I'm new at this, so I would really appreciate if anyone could teach me.

Oh, forgot to say; I'm trying to use mount & blade warband armour .dds files. (No, I won't take credit for any modeling like many seem to do).

In regards to the OP, I don't have a clue about .dds files and whatnot, so I'm afraid I can't help you there.
