Problem while battle field map

I got problem when i load battle specially in the city. My mac i so slow down even i can say that is cutting its self some times, but should work fine. some times i doesn't got any problems with game speed but in the siege situation usually yes. Dont know why i got 512 mb graphic card 8gb memory oparative system and of course i5 core intel processor and when i fight on the field usually my graphical settings are put on maximum level and works fine only some times its slowing down but its normal when i see few k soldiers zoomed in so maybe any help ?

I know virtually nothing about Macs but I do know that even city battles can lag on a good pc just because the game was written to use one core of any cpu ever made and not optimized worth a damn for it.
Everything including the proverbial kitchen sink goes through that one core including the game files, game graphics, anything in the background running.
It will only use 4gb of ram including graphics even if you are running it on one of NASA's computers because it is XP 32bit programmed. Visual Studio 2005 is its base with a healthy dose of VS 2003 from RTW.

Oh really its about that ? Then my problem will still continue... For example when i was playing Poland in empire total war every thing was much better loool and when i conquered half of Europe with my winged hussars then it was crashing my game down in particular turn and date in game ! I even called to people that sold me that game some network of game shops, and they said to send them the save file of that particular moment in the game and couldn't resolve the problem ... So i said alright lets start again and then i did , but when reach the same point of the game as before it was still crushing down the game in the same period of date haha its amazing !!

Medieval2 and Empire are two different game engines.
Medieval2, there is little help for but a faster cpu and minimum graphics settings. The is even a mod for lower quality textures that do help on city battles, too.
Empire being a Mac and possibly 32bit Windows, http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...uot-workaround will help but it's no panacea. 23bit systems running out of memory quite common.

It might. Steam does have an offline mode.

My friend one more question do you think that i will be able play in rome 2 tot war on my machine ?? I already am instaling rome 2 into my mac cause paulthetall make the port for this pc game so will try it out but how you think about strength of my mac for this game ?
