Faction Destroyed video

I remember I've seen in old RTR not-PE the faction destroyed video (the senate one, for example, at the beginning of the campaign).

Now (I've changed hardware some time ago) I cannot see them anymore (not in RTRPE, not in Vanilla): if I destroy, say, the Gauls, the message screen appears with text and all, but without the animated video inside. No black screen or something, just blank.

I've divx and other popular codecs: suggestions?

...and:

it is normal that I can't see in menu selection screen the victory conditions for every faction (take 50 provinces, take Rome, and so on)?

no victory conditions is a bug I believe..

and with the movies. I dont have it also, and havent change anything.

What version of RTRPE are you playing? I mean both the number and the distinction between the simple and the mod switch version. I`m interested in this relating to the movies. The victory conditions is a known bug and unfortunately it has no solution.
