The persian emperor has returned to Syria from his vacation at Rome.
In case it may happen in the future I must inform that Persian factions can't kill him just to get a new favorable emperor or to get rid of nobles/courtiers.
And if a new Emperor spawns at Rome again it's not allowed to kill him

Are we moving?
DrMac said he has exams until 7th and could be late with turns. It seems he's up in like 4-5 HS, can you sub him?
I'm a little busy too these days and he has an important turn, better wait..
I'm really sorry I couldn't get it done, the only guarantee I can give you is that it will be done within 48 hours. 24 hours is quite likely. I request that I not be subbed though, this turn is absolutely critical with my invasion of Anatolia just taking place, got massive dialemmas which a subber just can't make xD But Lydia you are in trouble!Cilicia... you too
More naval might displayed by the Greeks!

Ok, you better hurry.
We need a player for Sicily urgently in Age of Heroes HS, Sicily controls most of Italy and neighboring regions, good condition, along with Poland, France and Denmark they're at war with Byzantium and Portugal. Also Portugal and France are available.
You should get a HS and let the players fight till turn ...
After that give control to AI factions and watch the AI fest begin
Got an hour or two for the turn now xD Need a break from revision, but this is tangling with my brain! Whilst I do my turn, could I propose an update to the map updates xD Until like turn 35![]()
What are you replying to? Yes, or better let the AI fight for 50-100 turns then hotseat starts from there, a late era/alternative history setting.
Ok tomorrow I'll upload the map updates. And maybe make a gif if I find a decent free site.
Out of time... But I managed to do the turn! xD
I will try to upload the screens later, but the expedition presses on and Sardes has been besieged, some Lydians waiting to reinforce the area have been attacked and a small battle took place outside the walls of Sardes wherein the Lydian Crown Prince was wounded and dragged back into the city by his own men for treatment. Spartan naval might has once again come to the fore and the Cilician navy has been completely destroyed. We do expect some stranded ships in the Aegean to be defeated this turn, but naval control of the Aegean is in Greek hands and with it the coastline which Lydia cannot hope to defend, no matter how much they outnumber us.
So because it has been done before, it is not an exploit. Failing to see the reasoning.
Other than the fact that it has been done before, why is it not an exploit?
Also, why would it be a low blow if it was not taking advantage of some errors in the way this game works?
In real life I would let the reinforcements get slaughtered and watch them from my palace in Sardes.
That is of great interest to the berbers too, and will be much more crucial to know in the following turns.
I think maybe if the outside army is small we ought to give the defender a warning to either disband them or take the risk.
The only other thing I don't understand is this:
"No repeated attacks on 'yoyo/fort buged armies'."
is that when an army retreats, then is hit again and retreats a second time to its previous location?
This is of crucial importance. If this game exploit is allowed, I lose most of the coastline. I thought it was obvious that moves like this are not allowed.
I'd understand it if the army was outside Sardes but the reinforcements were nearly a whole turn away from Sardes.
To me if what Dr Mac did isn't an exploit of the way this game works, I don't know what is. Used the known fact that the army retreats like that and forced the army inside Sardes to participate in the battle thus lowering any chances I had to defend Sardes in a siege.
