Default I have a few questions for the experts.

Ok I want to mod my game files with the MM map but it has made a seprate campign when I want to use it for the imperial campaign. The map files I downloaded did not have the files to go in /base/ so how would I get them?

Can you edit the genrals ages and is it as simple as editing the ages in the descr_strat.txt?

I know how to make italy under one factions control but when you start the game you get three messages saying that the factions have been destroyed. Can you stop that from happening?

How could I make carthage more of a threat to Rome and make them come up spain?

I'm almost sure you can't do it or you'd need a lot of work, major modders don't remove it so probably it's either hard or impossible to do :hmmm:

    Has what?

If you're refering to my answer here goes the reply:

Faction defeat messages appear when you remove a faction in the mod instead of converting it to another...

There are two ways of removing factions from campaign in RTW
    1. the way that was first used for unified rome mods was I think to have faction in descr_strat with family members on map but no cities - when game launches faction is destroyed hence messages. I think this method had to be used for early patches as senate was required to be in strat.

    2. you can remove factions completely from descr_strat (and 1.5 doesn't mind not having senate) but to do this you must remove all references to them - inc. in non/playable list, as faction creator, as sub-faction for rebels and from diplomacy section - you also have to remove them completely as the default faction from descr_regions.txt. That way you won't get any messages but its a lot more work.
