Mmmmh...i installed it two days ago the 3rd time and still the same Problem......aaaaaaaargh, ok i can live without recruiting Alaudae, Germanica and Republican Guard, yesterday i changed the date of reforms, so that i can tide over to Augustus Reform with Hastati and so on!! But actually i would like to have the Cavalry Aux., can you help me in this case?? In which file i have to look? Or is it a bigger Problem?
sorry for double-posting but i saw on my previous post.... i didn't explain it right my problem with Cavalry Aux. I cannot see the Cav.Aux in my unit pool and so i cannot recruit, the other three candidates i can see and recruit but cannot fight with them, so i guess these are different Problems, right?
im really not sure how this is happening, do the units you mentioned work in vanilla DBM? just a reminder, republican guard are only available for the polybian era and marian era. alaudae comes in during the marian period and then the germanica legion is in the augustan. baring in mind these 2 units are only available in gaul and germania (hence the name). one place to check all of this is the EDB, provided you know the codename for the legions that the game follows rather than the nicknames the player sees ingame

I now have S.C.U.M. up to date, or so I would think. I've come up against a problem when starting the mod where it crashes directly after the vanilla M2 packs are loaded and I have no clue why.....
perhaps because you didnt made the .txt files like export_descr_buildings, export_descr_units or descr_strat or maybe any onther files?

Add some units from Rome total war, maybe arcani, urban cohort. In my opinion it`s a good idea and most fans of Rome nation will be glad if you will do this
while thats a good idea, i have never modelled from scratch.
plus i moved on to modding Rome 2 now that it is fixed - especially when Radious Total War exists

Why your "barbarian" units suck so much? Arevaci are great, but all the others are , has no chance against rome or greeks.
Specially germans (suevii). You have set them as barbarian idiot fanatic guys with clubs and furs. Omfg, you are a CA member? XD. Give them some options. Goths conquered hardly everything of the western roman empire, and they were germans. Suevii conquered gallaecia, alsacia and the agro decumates. burgundians took all burgundia. Vandal and lugions conquered Africa. Angles, saxons and jutes conquered great britain...
Man, germans defeated Rome. Germans defeated the huns. And in this mod, germans are just stupid guys with clubs with no option of development or improvement. (Just one advanced unit)
