    Default Wub the EU!

So more and more the US is behaving quite openly in regard to their misconduct with its "European allies". There is historically a long list of backroom entanglements into European affairs, but as of late they dont even seem to care if people take note.

Take this from today for instance:

    http://www.thedailybeast.com/article...b:-the-eu.html

So whats you folks opinions on US-EU partnership going forward? I dont like how things are going. I hate to have been a partner in crime recent decades, but much more I hate getting increasingly on the other side of the stick.

    the US, I say!

Well I kinda agree, the EU! Also Washington. Washington and Brussels deserve eachother. A marriage made in purgatory.

You should ally with North Korea as you appear to think the U.S. is the Antichrist of nations. Perhaps they'll respect you more.

"Is that you, John Wayne? Is this me?"

We don't think that Usa is the antichrist, but spying on your best allies' bathroom is a bit rude and creepy.

You can thank the Obama administration for that, but it seems that many people from Europe on this forum like him.

From what I remember, the spying has been around before Obama as well.

You're leaving out the part where he made it even more intrusive

Our latest presidents have been sub-par to say the least. It's our fault for electing clearly incompetent people in both parties.

You can thank Bush and previous presidents, since it's not like US spying on allies is new. In the same way that Germany and other EU states spy on the US in much the same way.

Germany apparently does not. I guess in a large way that comes from spending from the 1930s to the end of the cold war being the most spied upon people in the world, either, in east germany, by their own government or in west germany...by pretty much everyone.

Try Bush et al for their war crimes and crimes against humanity would be a damn good start. The issue is over when the cell closes on him and not a second before. For this administration a full criminal investigation to the terrorism euphemistically called 'targeted killing' and 'drone strikes' would also be a good start, as well as ofc investigations in allied powers supporting this terror campaign.

Honestly I don't get the deal with the allies spying , it's not like Angela Merkel was planing " Operation White House Down " .

    *speaking into hidden radio*

Big Mama, this is Kraut calling. Seems some of those Muricans have learned about our Operation WHD. I suggest to cancel WHD due to intelligence leak and instead start Operation Tigers on Time Square.

This was a private conversation I undersand with the American Ambassador!. If this (lady!?) takes to describing her frustration with the EU over the crises in the Ukraine in such graphic terms it is a reflection upon her not her government. As to how this came to be recorded and made public I don't know but one should ask if the Russian state security spent half as much time tracking the operations of organised criminals in it's country instead of spying on Western diplomats, Russia would be in a far better condition. This kind of thing makes the whole Snowden business look decidedly more like espionage than genuine whistle blowing.

Anyway, she has probably picked up the expression over here in the UK where we say the EU all the time!! and I believe its even being used as far afield as the Kremlin these days.

"Let's completely ignore the EU committee in regards to this deal" means "Let's nuke Europe" in Thorn-speak.

Consider the rise of neo-nazi in Europe recently, I think it is only naturally that the world wants to monitor Europe.

Rumour says that it was pretty much the Russians who recorded and leaked that. Personally, I think they miscalculated the cost benefit to themselves, both short term and medium term.

May be Czech or British did it, who knows.
