Well my sister's game installation works fine so it can't be that.
I think alfonso was right - this is an install shield error and thus a reinstallation of install shield should probably do the trick. What do you mean exactly with "my sister's game installation works fine" - if you don't mind me asking? Is she on the same computer?Originally Posted by Hitman Blood Money

Try going to C:/program files/common files, and naming the Installshield folder into InstallshieldOld. And then try installing.
I am being serious can anybody help me?
OK. firstly, give people a chance. Bumping a topic is considered bad form. People are perfectly capable of reading a list of threads...
Secondly, how much capacity does your hard drive have? I am probably asking a pointless question, but I am showing some interest...
Hm.. basicly... what about you:
1) close any running programs
2) empty your temporary folder
3) check your internet connection (lol, ok, that's useless since you are reading this)
as the little pop up suggests? Apart of that, I fear I have no suggestions... except of saying going to that above mentioned site and updating installshield is a good idea...

After looking up the error code, check this page It looks like the problem resides in the Event Log. That's as much as I can help you, I'm afraid.
Sometimes running a registry cleaner helps in these situations.

Neither is this the dawn from the east, nor is a dragon flying above, nor are the gables of this hall aflame. Nay, mortal enemies approach in ready armour. Ravens are calling, wolves are howling, spear clashes and shield answers
