Game screen issue with taskbar

Hey, I recently downloaded SS and when fireing it up I discoverd that the game screen goes into a type of windowed mode, so it doesn't becoame big enaugh to cover the entire screen. Additionally the game screen moves towards the taskbar appearing underneath it. I have provided some screens to show you what I am experiencing. I am also running other mods like 1648 and third age but there this doesn't happen so it is a SS issue.

I am running a nonsteam version (nonpirated mind you)
Windows 8

If there is anymore information please tell me and I will provide it. Does anybody know how I can fix this?

Does your Windows Screen resolution = your MTW2 game resolution?

Yes it is 1920x1080 pixels...

If you go into the cfg file, using notepad, you can change borderless mode
