Now if they can just get some awesome siege AI, then MTW II will be PC GOTY for me.
The cities look VERY beautiful and impressive.
The AI has to be improved, a great deal. There's no way RTW's AI could manage 4 siege walls, they could barely do one. Unless CA is releasing a broken game, the AI has gotta be a lot better.
I think that's the main reason why towers only work if there's a unit within them. So the attackers can focus on attacking the defender's sections rather than having to send out units to capture towers that are hitting them from the back once their inside the city. That and there's like 3 sections of walls so having automated towers may have been too much.
Eitherway these seiges are going to turn in Battle of the Mithridates (Return of the King).
love the animation of guys loading the cannon. I'd like to see them loading that Turkish monster bombard...and charge them down with some knights while they are loading that huge ball. Would be cool if the ball 'ran amok' if on a slope or something
wow! but it seems as if the defenders will have a much easier time of defending the city of castle. i mean, 3 levels of defences?!?! that would be very very hard.
Horse Archers = GOD
Those cities are really impressive.Imagine how smoothly it will run, city battle during a rainy, stormy night and flaming arrows flying around...
Animations are greatly improved from Rome. the monster bombard looks a bit too weird, but it will surely be fun. Buildings go down nicely.
But do those smoke trails disappear as soon as a rock (or whatever) touches the ground? That's the only thing that bothers me with this artillery. Not a big deal though, just mentioned.
Can't wait to get my hands on those things.
Dan Lehtonen? Is he finnish-australian or something? :p

What next? Gunpowder weapons firing in rain?Originally Posted by Spartacus(FIN)
Actually if that does happen...

I can see some sieges lasting almost an hour! Especially with 20 units and 3 walls to breach!
