Can't start new campaign after change files in imperial_campaign folder
Hi.
I'm playing Stainless Steel 6.4 with submod Meneth's Sub-mod Compilation (MSC) 6.0 (Early Campaign). After editing files in data/worls/maps/campaign/imperial_campaign folder (for example change mercenary cost in descr_mercenaries or rebels rate in descr_strat) I can't start new game. Does anybody know how correctly change those files.

I've almost given up modding 6.4. Even if i only change a factions purse from 2000 to 7000 the game refuses to start a campaign.

That is very strange. Is it something to do with the operating system? UAC or Virtual Store?

Re: Can't start new campaign after change files in imperial_campaign folder
I don't think I have problems with UAC or VirtualStore, and I've even tried implementig the tips from the tutorials section anyway. A single change in a file makes it so, that 6.4 returns me to the menu after choosing a faction. And get this: when i then delete the changed file and return the backup i just made (with NO changes) it still wont let me start. If i run setup and start from there i have no problems.
Maybe I should reinstall and move the xxx game outta the program files folder...

Try that and let us know. The fact that a back-up doesn't work could indicate a problem with the system not allowing access to something or not registering certain things.
