End turn freeze

So for the last couple of weeks I've been playing Macedon in the hopes I'd fully complete a total war game for once, I'm on the final province when this freeze appears out of no where. At each end of a turn the game will freeze and not auto save, so basically I have to play a whole outmatched battle again or something which takes forever! Has this happened to anyone else? I can't basically finish the game now that 1 out of every two times I end turn, the game will freeze frustrating me.

I've had the same thing with the current vanilla version. Not much to do but wait for patchs I think.

All I do is.....

Waiting and then viva, everything back to normal again

Sometimes I get freezes if I have internet tabs open in the background. It never crashes the game and it will eventually un freeze. Of course if you are getting a message that says the game has stopped responding then it won't unfreeze.
give it some time and it should unfreeze.

I use lots of mods and I got such a freeze , but after 10 hours or Rome2 marathon with about 20 to 30 quit to main menu and reload the last save thus imo a freeze or ctd was due ... the nasty thing was that after reloading my last save it kept on freezing even with 10 older saved games .... still couldn't pass 2 to 3 turns , and freeze again. but might be the mods... or the insanely long hours I play ....
