    Default NCAAF Thread

I know we have one for the NFL, but we need a specifc college one as well.

Anywho, FSU plays tonight against NC state and i'm ready. I feel good and the rumors are some serious changes have taken place during and after rice. Disregarding the fact that it was rice, the sheer tactics/ play calling used are changing for the better. I think a new wind is blowing and NC state will feel it tonight.

Well, that was an incredible game, since I'm an NC State student.

We are a completely different team with Evans at QB, teams cant stack the box against the run anymore.

Bah, we finally did alright with play callin and the defense couldn't step up. I like chuck, but NC State is physically outclassed by FSU. The problem is we have such a young team that we're unpredictable. Congrats on the win, I really thought we would pull it out but you guys held fast. Too bad Chuck and Richt don't work for FSU anymore...

Ah....good win for the Horns today over Texas North (Oklahoma ). Theyve got Baylor next, so that should be a W, but after that, there are two good games in a row @ Nebraska and @ Texas Tech.

    Damn..McCoy (12) looks...oh...maybe 15.

Baylor is better than Rice now, watch out it might not be a W, although that should be a good thing for you guys

for some reason today has been a good football day. I've really enjoyed much more than normal the florida, auburn and UGA games.

Perhaps, although they didnt show it today. Powerhouse Colorado just took Baylor to 3OT, before losing by three. Theyve also lost to Army, Washington State, and TCU.

If the Bears were to pull out a W (in Austin), it would be their first against Texas in.....uh....a long time. The all time record between the two teams is 69 - 22 - 4 in favor of UT.

Baylor. I honestly think Rice could beat Colorado without needing OT. Hell...A I-AA team did it...

i just checked ya'lls schedule and you guys should run the tables for the rest of the season. It'll be interesting to see who plays OSU in the national championship. You guys UGA or the gayterds. Auburn's out and i'm convinced USC has to lose atleast one or two this season.

They SHOULD, yes, but if they will or not remains to be seen. Despite how good McCoy has looked, he's still a freshman starting his first games. Hopefully he'll prove me wrong, and will contiune to play (mostly) mistake free football. I think he'll be damn good next year, although a large chunk of the offensive line will be gone, along with at least one RB (Selvin Young).

A rematch of UT - OSU would be interesting. Maybe the Horns could...you know...not turn the ball over on the goalline and make it a good game.

a winning season is a winning season and after FSU's performance, I say take what you can get.

Weatherford doesnt have an RB who runs the 100m in 10.23 to help him out though.

Well...if they win out the rest of their games, theyll be in a BCS bowl. Thats about as good as youre going to get without playing for the NC.

no, but he does have booker and smith and if they had the right play calling our rushing game would be much more dangerous. Against NC state booker had more yards then their entire offense by the third quarter.

Well...if they win out the rest of their games, theyll be in a BCS bowl. Thats about as good as youre going to get without playing for the NC.
that's a huge IF, odds are we'll realistically lose atleast one more game against the gayterds. We should beat BC at home during pow wow (homecoming) weekend and i don't see virginia and VT beating us either. I didn't see NC state winning, however those two teams don't have a Chuck amato who learned their trade literally under bobby. It'll be interesting to see how the season plays out in the next few months.

Hell...thats right...I forgot about the loss to NC State on Thursday. That hurts pretty bad there. :hmmm: Hm...the game against Florida is in the Swamp too...

Well....eh...hmm....if they lose to Florida, but win everything else, that would put them at 9 - 3 (6 - 2). That might be good enough for an at large bid to a BCS game, depending on how everyone else in the ACC does. Otherwise, the Gator Bowl would be a possibility....eh....if not that, there is the Chick-Fil-A Bowl.

What would suck for them is if Notre Dame doesnt get into a BCS game, but gets picked for the Gator Bowl vs a Big XII team (the good ol "or Notre Dame" ).

i don't know why i keep saying we play VT, i mean maryland...

UF is at home this year, but most are still predicitng more losses than wins against them, BC virginia and maryland even though those are all home games. That'll put us at 7 and 5 or 6 and 6 and on our way to boisie unless UM beats us to it.

however, the silver lining in last week's game and the one against rice, Booby has quit calling plays and the play calling was not bad thurs. The problem in that game was the defense. Mickey Andrews can fix the defense and assuming the offense COULD stay at the same level and praying that Xavier Lee takes the helm in place of weatherford we COULD runt he table to the UF game and possibly beat them bringing us to 10 and 2. That's some serious wishing but it is a possibility.

Wake Forest looks great this year, and it it wasn't for a single screw up that resulted in a 10 points swing, they would have beaten Clemson today.

I'm not looking forward to playing them next week.
