Default MAARC XLVII - The Winners

    Congratulations to the winners!

It's been a long time coming! For months we sat in epic suspense waiting for the competition to begin! But at last, five brave and mighty writers with quills inked and paper ready took up the call and even though there were a few hiccups here we are at the end of yet another amazing MAARC! Here are the winners of the MAARC XLVII...

    FIRST PLACE
is taken by IneptCmdr's For King and Country. This Empire AAR follows the country of England as it strives to carve out for itself a empire of it's own from the forests of Canada to the shores of India. IneptCmdr's does a fine job in immersing the reader into the story as his generals win great victory's and through devastating losses. Great job and we look forward to see more of the redcoats' exploits.

The second place position was a highly contested battle between the next two AARists but after an intense voting period it has been decided. Our SECOND PLACE winner is: General Retreat's Swords of the Sea. Once again this magnificent AAR was grace the winner's circle of the MAARC. His account of the Normans in England and their struggle to remain in power is a riveting read and one that brings back readers time and time again. Keep those updates coming!

Now make some noise for our THIRD PLACE winner: sbroadbent's and his AAR Epistolas de in Ante. sbroadbent and his AAR make history as the first Rome 2 AAR to grace the winner's circle. This AAR follows the exploits of the House of Junia. The reader is able to explore the rise of this Roman house through firsthand accounts taken from the journal entries and ship logs of those leading the House of Junia's armies to battle and those working behind the scenes to ensure success. This AAR would have definitely been approved by the ancient Romans!

Congratulations to all our winners and may you continuing to grace us with your awesome AARs!
