Default The North and the Riverlands, marriage at Riverrun

Riverrun is lavishly decorated with the colours of Tully and Stark, everything is prepared to hold a magnificent wedding that will join two of the greatest and most powerful Houses in the Realms, Lord Paramounts of the Riverlands and the North. The Goodswood was the spot chosen for the wedding, as was fitting to the customs of the North.

Lord Edmund Tully waits at the Great Hall's gates, in magnificent robes, waiting and welcoming every Lord and Lady that wishes to attend the wedding.

Lord Stark arrives, for once not looking grim, his clothes are adorned with a grey fur cape with the direwolf emblazoned on it. Following him are the ladies of House Stark, his wife Ravella who still is very beautiful, wearing a long fur dress with a kindly smile and Jeyne, his daughter, who looks beautiful with her grey silk dress even if a bit shy. The groom also accompanied them, with a smug smile on his face, a grey doublet and his long cloak with the sigil of the Starks he is particularly handsome for his wedding day and was pleased with himself and with his wife to be. The Starks approach Lord Tully, with Lord Stark speaking first. "Edmund! What a joyous occasion! May I present you to my wife, Ravella." Lady Stark gives him a curtsy bow "My Lord." "And I believe you already met Jeyne?" Jeyne gives a nervous bow "Lord Tully." Torrhen seemed about to speak when his son interrupted him "Where is my bride? I wish wed her soon!" And to bed her soon.
"We all know whatmy brother would do. Robert would gallop up to the gates of Winterfell alone, break them with his warhammer, and ride through the rubble to slay Roose Bolton with his left hand and the Bastard with his right. I am not Robert. But we will march, and we will free Winterfell … or die in the attempt."

Lord Tully and Lady Tully receive joyfully their soon relatives in-law. Everyone were dressed for the ocasion. Even the men at arms wore their best plate armour, mail hauberks and great war-helms, with silver trouts. From their spears hung the colours of Tully.

"Torrhen! Joyous indeed! The whole castle is bustling with happiness. Finally one of my beloved sisters will marry!"

Lord Tully grabs her hand, and kisses it kindly:

"My Lady Ravella, you are as beautiful as we expected for the Lord of Winterfell. I'm glad we are all family now"

"And Lady Jeyne, a true blue rose of the North"

Lord Tully kisses her hand too.

Tully frowns a little with Jon's words, but wipes the annoyance of his mind.

"She would be here soon, Ser Jon, and the ceremony will start as soon all the Lords and Ladies arrive"

"Torrhen we have erected a city of tents in a field nearby, to hold the feast for the minor Lords, landed knights, men-at-arms and other vassals of the Lordly retinues expected to arrive"

One of the Stark men at arms let out a loud "Huuray!" Lord Stark shut him with a serious look "That is all very good, my family still needs..." "I don't." "Shut it Jon, my family still needs to prepare for the wedding. I wonder if you have any chambers available?"

    Lord Tully smiles

"Of course we have my Lord, near to my own, we have prepared two chambers, one for the bride and the groom and another for your wife and yourself, Torrhen. Your men can be billeted with my own in Riverrun's barracks"

Lord Tommen Lannister arrives at the wedding at Riverrun dressed in a fine black suit of silk and leather with a crimson tabard with the golden lion at the center and a ceremonial sword worn on his side. He comes with his wife in hand, wearing a lovely crimson dress and the finest jewelry that the gold from the Rock can buy, in addition to a small retinue of the finest knights of the Rock who serve as Lord Tommen’s escort. Lord Tommen was not usually the type of person who attended these kind of festivities. He came not because he wanted but because he has to. He knew that the marriage of two Lord Paramount Houses was no small thing and to not make an appearance could be seen as the greatest of insults.

With the sheer magnificence that was usual to the Lannisters, Lord Tommen and his wife arrived. Lord Edmund wore a blue and crimson doublet, made of velvet, with silver scrollwork, with trouts dancing around. He had a ceremonial sword at the belt, as Lord Tommen, and his had a trout on the pommel, the hilt was covered in fine red leather. Edmund red beard was wel-trimmed, his hair combed backwars. Edmund wore a heavy mantle, made of layers of silver, embroidered like fish scales, put in place by two trouts on each shoulder, joined by a silver chain, with a rubi in the middle.
He bows slightly before the Lannister, and smiles kindly:

"My dear Lord Tommen, be welcome to my seat of Riverrun. Hope your lordship will enjoy the ceremony and the ensuing celebration"

"Lady Lannister, you are radiant, as I expected from the Lady of Casterly Rock"

Lord Tommen nodded somewhat grimly to Lord Tully's words. He knew what Lord Edmund was referencing and he did not like to think about what may be coming. Lord Paramounts only married their sons and daughters to other Lord Paramounts when war threatened to break out across Westeros. In truth, this marriage here was nothing ore than officially announcing to the toher realms in Westeros that House Tully and House Stark stood together as allies and would fight together if war were to break out.

Brushing aside these unpleasant thoughts, Lord Tommen replied
"I thank you Lord Tully. You are too generous. Riverrun is just as magnificent as my own keep and it is really impossible to compare them to each other my Lord. They both have their own qualities that make them highly desirable."

Lord Tommen then bowed with the arrival of Lord Tully's sister "It is a pleasure to meet you Lady Lyra. If I may say my Lady, you look very pretty in that dress. To answer your question, my son, Petyr, is currently still at the Rock with all of my other children. He fell behind on his studies while attending the funeral of King Maekar and the Coronatino of King Aegon and I held him back as punishment for neglecting his studies amidst all of the excitement of visiting the capital. It is shame that he is not here to meet you Lady Lyra."

All are clad in the traditional Dornish armor with Ryon's being a red-gold coloration and wearing a dark red robe over it.

Lucia, Lucifer, and Corenna arrive shortly after with the main part of the retinue, comprised of guards, lesser nobility, and courtiers. The Princess is wearing a black, orange, and crimson dress with gold inlaid jewelry in some parts, such as on the sleeves and around the collar, and a ornate pattern as well. Corenna wears a similarly colored dress as her mother, but hers has silver instead of crimson, and is less adorned with gold as well. Lucifer, wearing a black doublet, a ceremonial sword at his side, and a fur cloak he bought at the capital, stares around at the castle of Riverrun, noting the completely different structure when compared to the Dornish style of building castles. His sister is more interested in the small fish, their scales glimmering in the sunlight as they swim by. When they arrive, the two snap to attention, though.
The main noble Lords and the Princess are led into the courtyard. The knights, minor landlords and other members of her retinue are led to the tent covered field that was erected nearby on that pourpose.

Simeon Voskari arrived at Riverrun, flanked by his two eldest daughters and followed by his eight year old son and heir. Though in terms of jewelry and adornments there were others far more lavishly decorated than they as House Voskari couldn't claim an impressive income, it was still clear that they had done their best with what had been available. The girls' dresses had been of a fine cut, folded and dyed in such a way that it could make due with less adornments and symbols of wealth, and -- their home being the north -- lined with soft white fur of snow foxes to keep its wearer from freezing to death on the journey. At the junction of collar and bust was a single gem, a blue topaz for Tyrene, and a red ruby for Aiyana, both polished to a smooth exterior.

Aren and Simeon were both dressed in more martial garb, wearing a suit of ceremonial armor that had been designed with looks in mind, along with a red fur-lined cloak with the argent direwolf head of House Voskari on it. As they stopped to dismount -- the more knowledgeable onlooker would notice their horses were of Dornish breed -- Simeon looked around trying to spot their host for the wedding feast, Lord Tully.

As Starks entered the keep Lord Edmund noticed few newcomers, northerners, as could be guessed by their outfit, but with Dornish steeds, a rare thing in the cold plains of the North, how would they avoid those horses from dying by the freezing Northern cold?

They must be someone's vassals as I don't recognize their sigil, the last grey wolf I remember are Greystarks, but they are long dead. Who are these northerners?

Edmund greeted Lord Mooton, and Lord Mallister, who had just arrived, in the very steps of the Riverrun's Hall.

Lord Lucyus I Reyne arrives at the Wedding with his beautifuly two sisters Myra, Lyra and his uncle Ser Ryan Reyne
Its another opportunity for him to show everyone his gracefulness, all great houses of westeros will be part of it to celebrate the marriage of two Lord Paramount Families
he is dressed in finest red dyed silk and a lustrous silver cloak with his family sigil on it, wearing rings of pure gold on each finger and a decadent chain covering almost his whole chest.

his sisters are wearing exactly the same red dress only Lyras freckles are showing the difference between them.
Ser Ryan is dressed in his armor, the same he always wears.
All are curious about these wedding only Lucyus, he seem to be more interessted in how many noticed him.

Ser Ryon follows the servant leading them to Lord Tully at the head of the allotted guards for Lucia and her children, the relatively tall and imposing knight moving aside only when they arrive to allow his sister, who looks more Stone Dornish than Salt, unlike Ryon, to speak to the lords. Lucia elegantly bows, the jewelry she is wearing slightly chiming as she moved. "My lord Tully..and my lord Lannister, a pleasure to see you both again in a more joyous setting." Her two children mimic their mother's movements with slightly less grace. Lucia slightly tilts her head to quickly look back at them from the corner of her eye, before continuing. "May I introduce my brother, Ser Ryon, and eldest children, Lucifer and Corenna." Ryon bows when mentioned by his sister, and when Lucia gestured to each child, they slightly bowed again.

Lucia smiles at Lord Lannister. "Likewise, my lord. The gold of the Westerlands has proven to be a very beneficial asset as well, the influx of precious metals along with gold have led to a increase in commerce within Sunspear." she then laughs slightly. "Yes, they are very prized amongst my court. I would imagine you would prefer the Red Mountains stock of them, those are more like what Westerlands knights traditionally ride into battle, but are slightly smaller and faster than a destrider." The other three Martells simply nod in reply, while the twins afterwards quietly resume their own personal discussion about Riverrun.
