Komnenos Restoration

Hi guys. I would like to ask if there is any possibility of making more men with "Komnenos" surname in late era as Byzantium? I noticed that in every part of Empire (one with Nicaea, Greek one and Trebizond) there is other family, but you have access only to one (Nicaean one). And there is one Komnenos dude in Trebizond, which is considered family member (not a general), but he isn't present on the tree. So my question is: Can I marry him, and if yes, will his children have the same surname?

Oh yeah, and how do you make Byzantine family married in early era? I'm getting pissed off, cause all my generals without Komnenos surname are married, and I have barely 5 Komnenos dudes in late 40's and 50's. EVERYONE is getting married in this game but not Komenos! help??

Short answer... Yes you can restore the Komnenos dynasty.

Take the one Komnenos guy you have in Trebizond and marry him to the Princess you have at the start of the campaign.
Then "accidently" kill off the current Emperor and his heir.
*bingo*

If you wait until the current Emperor has an infant son to kill him off, then you can also keep the Laskaris (I think that's their name) family alive for future political intrigue at your royal court hehe.

In one of my playthroughs, I let the father/son family in western Greece (I forget their name) live and put their descendants in charge of my African campaign. I eventualy sent the Laskaris' family to "rule" in Rome while I kept the Komnenos' capitol in Constantinople. Not easy keeping three families alive when you can only see one tree. More then once I had to marry my own royal princesses into the other families to keep them alive when marriage offers werent otherwise coming in.
