    Default camels

okay, whats the use for these units? for armored camels, they have lower overall stats, irregular formation, and they lose the bonus fighting cav bonus and have the same price as a cataphract, while the only additional attribute they gain is scare horses. while most other mercenary camels costs alot for the unit they're paying, so my question is, is scare horses really that effective? ive tried and it dosnt work that well, or are we meant to use these aginest HA?

Don't they also have combat bonus in the dessert? Personaly I tend to rather use normal horse cav but if you are planning on going up against large numbers of Cavalry, or desert fighting then they start to excel a bit.

ive also noticed thatthe seleucid camel archers are missing the camel resource in their recruitment description making them recruitable anywhere there is a seleucid settlement.....even in the british isles. Im too lazy and haven't gotten around to fixing it.

Kataphract camels are no joke... If you could pit a parthian unit of Kataphracts against a unit of Kataphract camels the camels would win. Just make sure you keep them in the desert where the belong. I personally modified my camels to make them have very good stamina. They should have had that at the very least... and I upped the combat bonus in desert a tad, and gave them a +4 vs horses. They seem to do the trick now.

Good idea, King_Azzole. Mind if I steal it and credit you for my MMM?

Meh you dont have to credit me. I have given alot of suggestions for RTR in the past that they used and they never credited me I dont really care to be honest, information and ideas are open source in my opinion when it comes to mods. I usually just edit what I like and don't like anyway

    1) 1) do camels also get a charge bonus in desert? coz otherwise kataphracts can still charge a camel to victory(3 times should be enough, though not practical in big battles)
    2) dosnt cataphracts get a "bonus aginest cav" does this apply to camels as well? also, how much morale does the eagle boost?
    1) I am not sure if the desert bonus carrys over to a charge. However I would make the charge bonus for both camel and horse cataphract almost equal. During a charge camels and horses can run roughly the same speed albeit from the research I have done horses are slightly faster. But they are similar mass and equipment, so I think they should be about equal on the charge number.

    2) No horse kats dont get a bonus against camels. Its only against other horses. I am not sure the specific number the eagle boosts morale, but I know it will most likely raise the morale category one "rank" when nearby. ie: from steady to eager.

I like to use the Heavy Camels on the outside flank of my missile units, ready to slam into any cavalry that tries to wipe them out. whether or not the "scares horses" feature really works that well in the game, I don't know. It just sounds cool, darn it!
