Default Removing an old generals bodyguard so you can add a new one in the selection menu.

    Hello gents!

Back again with a new question for you. So i just found a new cool unit for Rome that i thought was worth a try. (Augustian Eagle by Artophilia)

All woks fine but when i start a new Roman main campaign i find that the new unit has replaced a other mod that gives me the ability to select the Preatorian Guard as the generals bodyguard from the start of the campaign.

So how do i remove some of the other selectable units from the Generals bodyguards menu?
I need to replace one of them with the Praetorian Guards.

    Any takers?

    Cheers.

Sounds like they didn't use table fragments...

To answer your question, it's not an issue with a limit of any sort, just a compatibility issue between the two mods. One that doesn't need to exist.

Make a copy of both of these mods (else your changes will get overwritten when steam detects it doesn't match), open it up in PFM. All you're going to be doing is renaming a few tables so they dont overwrite each other.

Both mods should have these three tables included:
    commander_unit_permissions
    unit_set_to_unit_junctions
    unit_custom_battle_permissions

Rename each of these tables to something unique. Should look something like the following (the *_tables folder is untouched, only the tables inside are renamed)

Use your copies when you start up rome 2 (not the subscribed versions) and your issue should be gone.

If you want to get it resolved properly, poke the mod makers with this

Thanks for the reply. I did as you said and copied the mods, renamed the tables and used them.
I'm still getting the problem though. What do?

Thanks for the offer but there is no need to. Just figured out that the General unit Praetorian Guard mod was updated.
The update made it so that the professional soldiering technology needed to be researched, before you could use the Praetorian Guard for the general.

So basically there was never anything wrong with the mods, i was simply not aware of the update the changed how the mod worked.

    Thanks of the help anyway.
