My Lord Gaunt:
The Riverlands have slowly recovered from the desolation of the Great Spring Sickness, and the uprising of Lothsones, our lands are again bountiful, and our wheat fills our stores at Riverrun. The plague slayed many nobleman, and those who survived inherited wondrous hoards of wealth and land. However we cannot supply many of their demands, they require luxurious goods, and recently the lanes between the capital and the Riverlands have stagnated to the point most of the valuable Crownlands and Essosi products have not reached our lands, and vassals' domains since few ago. My Lord Gaunt, we would be willing to offer yourself our valuable grain, to feed your smallfolk, that surely has suffered as ours with the lately unfortunate events, and since most your lands are covered by woods I understand your fruitful land maybe scarce.
However our trade lanes are filled with much needed Westerlands' gold, and only will have one ready to trade with your lordship in two or three years. However we will send grain to your lordship free, so you shall feed your hungry peasantry right now, not waiting to future promises of wheat.
Such, we will wait your answer eagerly.
In the Light of the Seven
Lord Edmund Tully of Riverrun, Lord Paramount of the Riverlands and the Trident
