Hello, everyone. I need a favor from anyone willing to help. I have to give a speech in a couple of days for a class. I chose the end of the world as my topic. However, I am not too clear on the specifics of the various religious interpretations or prophecies about this subject. Could anyone lend a hand?

Could you clarify a bit more on the specifics that should be in your speech? Er..what exactly about, 'the end of the world', are you to be talking about? Is there a general question or purpose that you are to answer or portrait through your speech?

Lets start with that, and I'm sure we can do plenty to help.

Well, the bulk of my speech is going to cover the Mayan Long Count. I already have enough info for that, I was just wondering about the jist of any other prophetic armageddon or end of the world concepts that are out there. I know a little about the Christian Revelation, but I think I need more....maybe Islamic views and/or Hinduism/Buddhism.

Information isn't very important in a speech, fact is that most people forget 70% of what you said in no more than a few minutes. Try to impress your class (and more important, your teacher) by being interactive, active and passionate.

Oh for Christianity you have more than Revelation. You have the last half of Daniel also parts in Ezekiel, as well as Zechariah to just name a few. A book that was not cannonized called Enoch after Enoch of Genesis is an interesting read as well. Hope this helps from a Judeo/Christian perspective.
