    Default Brightwater Keep, Seat of House Florent

    Brightwater Keep

    The manorial estates of the Florents sit upon the headwaters of the Honeywine river, upriver from Honeyholt and Oldtown.
    Beyond the these borderlands, to the northwest lie the territories and vassal-lands of the Florents.

    Upon the western shores of the Honeywine, before it merges with its tributary, the Littlewine, sits a broad and high-reaching tower-keep, pointing high into the sky as an architectural finger.
    The main entrance into the simple but impressive tower is across a stone bridge spanning from the tower's center to a cliff across a chasm and ravine.

    Like most of the Reach, the lands west and North of the Honeywine are rolling and fertile;
    However, the Florents and their vassals give more of this land to shepherding and ranching than other Houses of the Reach.
    It is because of this that House Florent can call upon higher numbers of cavalry.
    Higher density of knightly fiefs and keeps in the area also confer a decent pool of manpower for knightly cavalry.

    The Interior of Brightwater Keep

    The keep is structured and organized in floors, some of them holding large halls and single sets of chambers rather than many;

    The main hall, where visitors and petitioners are formally recieved and where meals are formally eaten, is in the center of the tower, right where the bridge meets the stone-work.

    On one of the most highest floors sits the chambers and solar of the Lord and Ser of Brightwater Keep, with timbered walls, stained windows, rustic tiling, and comfortable coloring and tinting.

    From the higher levels of the keep, one can almost see Oldtown; Sometimes, in the darkness before dawn, when there is neither fog nor cloud nor star, one can see the flaming heights of the Hightower in the deep distance, over hill and over valley... a bare ember..

    Lord Florent,

    Long have we yearned for the sweetness of the Reach and offer to trade such luxuries for our many tons of grain.

    Lord Florent,
    I ask for trade rights to enable the trade of fruits and Armour between our houses.

    A raven arrives from House Westerling:

    To Lord Florent:

    My Lord our lands are decaying and many have turned unfruitful, but we still need to feed our hungry smallfolk. I offer our gold, a pure Westerlands' gold (we the most ancient House of the West certify the purity of our gold), in exchange of the fruits of your blessed lands fed by the Honeywine. You surely would love some gold, and we would wish to taste again some of the Reach's apples, a sweet peach or cider, that from few years ago don't arrive to the Crag anymore.

    A party of riders, which was once part of a much larger group, rode south with haste from the capital, a fox for a herald.

    Jaime Florent did not stay for the new King's coronation.
    He had stayed the night after the Great Council, arguing with his cousin and his uncle about this coronation, and for once, he deeply disagreed with them.

    It was a rare thing, for such a high-born man so entitled to the highest of joys, to learn the world's cruelty.
    He wasn't directly hurt by this new king's rise, but he felt angered over the treatment of Prince Aemon.

    Before he rode out of the city, he sent a raven ahead of him, all the way to Brightwater Keep.

    He would not be returning to the Hightower, he told his kin, but rather coming home to finally take control of his title.

    It was time to become a man, and forget the irresponsible pursuits of Oldtown's elite.
    For too long had he squandered the honor and good name of his father's house on good wine and long nights.

    My Lord Florent:

    We have been named Master of Coin and this raven is sent on his behalf and under his orders. We have to cancel the trade route between our Houses, however, as we don't want your Lordship to be left without a trade partner the King himself offers to open a trade lane between King's Landing and your Lordly seat, such, your vassals will delight their nostrils with the magnificent Crownland's perfumes.
