Default Winterfell, Seat of House Stark the Lords of the North

Winterfell is the ancestral castle and seat of power of House Stark and is considered to be the capital of The North. It is located in the center of the northern province of the Seven Kingdoms, on the kingsroad that runs from Storm's End to the Wall. Winterfell was supposedly built by Brandon the Builder over eight thousand years ago, with the help of Giants For most of recorded history Winterfell was the seat of House Stark, the the Kings in the North and later as Wardens of the North, after King Torrhen Stark bent the knee to Aegon the conqueror and his dragons. As the regional capital of the North, harvest festivities have been hosted in Winterfell for centuries.

    39
    Skills (12 total):
    +3 Duels (+11 from Ice)
    + 3 Field Battles
    +2 Survival
    +3 Income
    +1 Sieges

Bio: The Lord of Winterfell and warden of the North, was born the third child of the late Lord Brandon. In his youth he and his brothers received martial training but only the eldest was taught how to be a Lord, infuriated at the prospect of never likely inheriting anything he started studying Lordship and management himself hoping one day to rule his own castle. As his brothers grew either merry or hot headed Torrhen remained grim focusing on his studies most of all, it came to him as no surprise that when their father passed away Eddard was the one that became Lord of the North. Oddly enough he was the only brother that married due to his attempt to curry favour with other Northern lords, always
musing thoughts of rebellion. It came as a great shock when his brothers passed away and he was made Lord, althought he knew he ought to be happy he only felt a great grief for his dead kin and from that moment onwards refrained from any dishonourable thoughts or actions torwards his family or vassals. Lord Torrhen is an imposing man grim and honourable.

    Age: 22
    Skills (6 total):
    +2 Duels
    +1 Survival

    Bio:
The current heir to Winterfell never dared to dream he would ever find himself in this position with two uncles before his father, even so from a very young age his father had taught him the ways of battles and ruling, he was mostly just interested in the battles. Thus when he grew he became a promising commander althought some worry about when the time comes for him to rule.

Hot Springs: Winterfell stays relatively warm, even in winter, giving a -1 to all character death rolls in winter.
Brandon's Walls: Legends say that Winterfell was built some 8000 years ago by Brandon the Builder, who used giants to help him construct the castle. The castle is surrounded by two huge, thick granite walls, with a moat between them, making it incredibly defensible. This gives the defenders +3 to seige defense rolls.
Bastion of Strength: Though those in the North will fight on even if Winterfell is taken, it represents the strength of the North, and whoever holds it gains a huge morale boost and the loyalty of many in the North, allowing it's owner to recruit troops at 75% of the normal cost, though upkeep remains the same.

    A raven arrives:

    To Lord Stark:

My Lord Torrhen, we have received word that your heir, Ser Jon Stark, has reached adulthood but unfortunately lacks a wife. As the friendship between Riverrun and Winterfell is always fruitful and filled with mutual joy it would be an honour for House Tully to renew the ties of blood between our noble lineages, that can be traced back to the Age of Heroes. Such, we offer in marriage a most fair maid of Riverrun, the one you wish to choose from my lordly sisters, Cersei, Lysa and Barbra. We send their portraits, as painted by the best artists in King's Landing, to delight your son's eyes.

Shall the Old and the New Gods bless us.

Lord Edmund Tully of Riverrun, Lord Paramount of the Riverlands.
