Harmund sat on one by a desk as the Westerlings took seats near the fire. A servant soon appeared with a silver platter holding some wine jugs and goblets for the three.
As they were poured and issued, Harmund spoke, "Godric is like a young horse still, Ormond. Where his brother took a wife and his sister took a husband without resistance, Godric remains unwilling to settle down and enjoys his freedom. As my second son I've permitted this for now, as producing offspring is not so important in sons following the first, but your offer comes at a fortuitous time. Like all colts, a time of breaking must come, and accepting one's place in life follows: I don't begrudge him, I remember the arguments with my own father about taking a wife, I thought it was too early, and that I should be permitted to remain free from commitment to a Lady for years longer, but looking back I see his wisdom now and I see Godric in need of a woman to keep him grounded and sensible."
He drank from his goblet and chuckled. He'd hated his father for forcing a wife upon him, and now he sat here preparing to force a wife upon Godric. How the years change one's perceptions.
"I accept your proposal, Ormund. I'll bring Godric into line." he said, "He is currently visiting his sister at Casterly Rock, off looking to Tommen for some duty to be assigned to fill his days. I'll see to it that word reaches him to return here and I will send word when I have an idea of a wedding date to see if it suits you."
