    Default shieldwall

    hi,

    I integrated (by using BI exe) the shieldwall into RTR.
    But they still die like flies when under fire. Is it possible to make them more resistent to arrows, stones, missiles ?

    adjust their stats in edu
    ie give them better piercing armour and all tht
    for guidelines read the text ca has quoted in the beginnig of edu

    hm I think it changes the shield defence completely right ?
    But I wonder isn t it possible to change the attributes of the shield wall of BI itself. I think that must be posible because else the whole shieldwall was useless.

    Id guess at increasing the defence of the shield that the unit in questio has. Unit Stats should be in the same folder where you added 'shieldwall'. Or on the other hand tone down attack of missile units.

    EDIT: Okay... took way too long writing post - got distracted with something else - people beat me to it.

    the shiled wall what u see is more a visual represenatation of their ability rather than their actual ability.
    but their actual ability is determined through edu .
    the features like tusedou,carribian circles are hardcoaded so u cant edit those ,u can only assign those to perticular units
    but u can definitely balance them through edu .

    edu = export_decr_units
    a text file in rtw data folder

    so you think I MUST change the common "shield defence" ? (so that it doesn t matter wether SW or not)
    where can I see the attributes of SW ?
    I guess the SW must be good for anything ?

    guys... I want that the Shield Wall to be USEFULL.
    When I do that I also just could keep the SW away and would have the same effect.

    so I am searching for some kind of command like:
    shieldwall=on=+2 defence

    as i said these special abilities are hard coded
    u cant edit any of the special abilities

    well it has some effect
    may be u dint noticed tht because the unit ur using is weak from the beginnig .

    I am using RTR +Facions Mod.
    And I am sure that the SW does not influence the defence against distance weapons.

    Is it possible to make distance weapons weaker when the target unit has rosen the shields (does it matter at all whether the shields are rosen or not ? )
    When I have more shield defence then 7 most attacking distance units run away. Is the value (7) possible to change ?

    or to give it the attributes of the testudo
