Restart Options

Pick One:

1. 'Time Skip' to a Great Council.

This option will see us jump forward a reasonable number of years and place us on the tail end of a great sickness that will have destroyed most of the main line of Iron Throne claimants, plus a host of other characters (eg players can have their Lord die and let their Heir take up the role, probably won't be forced upon you though). 2. 'Fresh Slate' to something like above.

Using something like the lore Great Council, for example. This gives the players the opportunity to start over and, if they want, switch to other available houses and use a Great Council setting.

3. 'Fresh Slate' to the Dance of the Dragons.

Using the lore we start at this stage, players get a fresh slate and use this setting. This will require that new rules be created to govern the use of Dragons, and very tight controls will be placed on who can have a Dragon. http://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php...of_the_Dragons

4. None of these. Keep going with this game.

Does what it says on the tin. Don't change anything.

5. I don't care/don't mind.

While I'd love to do timeskip to a Great Council, many players are already openly looking at new potential Houses. As such, rather than force people to stick to their choices made 12 or so weeks ago, I vote fresh slate Great Council.

I never, ever want to play a Dragon scenario. They'll be impossible to write into the rules in a fair and balanced way, and only grief will come when people without Dragons are forced to deal with people who have them. I say we avoid that mess altogether, because I say we'll be having this same poll in a month after the first major battle involving Dragons, when everyone realises they're just not fun for an RP.

I voted against the Restart for the reasons i've made known in the OOC already. A Time Skip would be my secondary choice.

That said, if i end up outvoted i'll go along with whatever decision is reached here.

I'd absolutely love to play Dance, but as Poach says dragon are unbalanced, and extremely dangerous for a rp. Such, even if I also like a time skip, I think we should definetely step forward, and taking profit from our momentum and player base start a new setting, starting a fresh and entirely new story, that I think we would enjoy, greatly. However I'm trully sad about our current setting fate, and I mourn that it has winded down.

Not only the dragons part, but there is a risk the majority of the Lord Paramount players could all side with one of the claimants and make the war one-sided.

I would have voted against the restart, but since almost everyone is in favor of doing it I will be voting for the Dance.

The likelihood of that happening is slim, Axis. Unless you are an opponent on the field of battle.

They're just so... scary. (Also I would probably choose not to be their opponent, and if other people do the same, it could come out unbalanced.)

Also have chosen Great Council, as DoD could turn out too overpowered, undepending who owns the Dragon. Last DoD game we had was a pure silent assassination war against those, who had Dragons, so without having a chance against them, I could imagine things turning out a similiar way.
Plus again, we may get too many Targaryens.
