    * * *

    The Tall Trees Town sat not far from the capital of Lotus Port, and by the time the Westerosi arrived was already informed of the defeat of Jalabhar. The garrison had been beefed up by levies, and a contingent of Jalabhar's Palace Guard, the best troops in the Summer Isles, guarding the Royal Treasury, which was expecting the fleet from Last Lament to arrive and take the treasury by sea to Lotus Port.

    The gates are sealed shut and the walls well manned.

    Lord Andrew Estermont and his men were some of the first to arrive in the city's outskirts, marching in a long line the Stormlanders raised so much dust you could barely see the army from a distance. First came the vanguard led by Andrew and composed of 300 Knights, they chased off any peasants unlucky enough to be outside the walls and scouted the terrain for a place to make camp, while keeping well out of arrow range. Eventually Estermont found a big farmhouse atop a small hill where he estabilished his command post, he and his Knights set up pavillions or took rooms in the house and got themselves confortable.

    An hour later the Axeman arrived, most of them dripping with sweat and suffering from the heat, they approached the farmhouse and the commanders went to Andrew while letting their burly seargents estabilish the camps. Barristan's company, composed of the fiercest man who had charged first into the fray made camp in the south side of the hill which faced the city. The men under Colenn set camp near the main courtyard, fortifying the fences and manning some watchpoints while the company under Stafford made camp to the north, behind the farmhouse where they had set up horse lines and latrines.

    Close behind the axeman came the Crossbowmen, not as fatigued due to their lighter armour their leader, Allen, set them closest to the city where they started digging pits and placing stakes to fortify the camp. Last of all came the baggage trains carrying their precious supplies of food and water, guarding them was the rear guard composed of 78 Knights lead by Ser Ronnet Todbury, a minor son of Lord Todbury. The baggage trains were placed in the north, although far from the latrines, where it was safer and the Knights sat up camp with the others. After organizing the camp Lord Andrew called a meeting of any present commanders.
    "We all know whatmy brother would do. Robert would gallop up to the gates of Winterfell alone, break them with his warhammer, and ride through the rubble to slay Roose Bolton with his left hand and the Bastard with his right. I am not Robert. But we will march, and we will free Winterfell … or die in the attempt."

    Duncan Tarly strides into the farmhouse, looking the inside up and down. "So Estermont, is this to become you Summer Island palace?" He quips. A young knight of his retinue walks into the room and hands the Tarly a scroll. He unrolls it, revealing a map of the area, and spreads it out on what was likely a dinner table not too long ago. "At least you managed to clear all the peasants out of it."

    A smile shows that there is no truly ill intent behind his words, merely jest. His fingers rest lightly on the pommel of his sword, as he considers his next move. Finally his finger comes to rest on a spot to the West of the city. "Light cavalry, if we have any, should hide there to cut down any enemies attempting to flee. Meanwhile, the assault should include only infantry. Good knights, once unhorsed, can be cut down as quickly as any peasant. Once the gates have been forced open, the Westerosi can once again prove their dominance, but not before."

    He considers once more. "I would say, send your bronzegate axmen up a ladder to the right of the gate, with my heavy infantry in support. As the other enemies move to aid their forces, light infantry will swarm over the wall here, here, and here. He indicated the spot to the left of the gate, and two spots along the eastern wall. "Anyone fleeing will be driven straight into our waiting ambush." He looked at the Lord Estermont. "As soon as the gates are down, you and I shall lead the cavalry into the heart of the city. What say you, Stormlander?"

    OOC: Are Juluktai and Zalaman attacking here on their way to Lotus port or marching right by?

    The farmhouse was quickly becoming crowded once again as pages and squires went off and about, Lord Andrew was sitting at the other side of the table his emerald green eyes scanned the map with attention. He let out a smile at the mention of the palace and the peasants, indeed there had been no peasants here when he came likely having fled beforehand. "A most sound plan Lord Tarly! My Axemen and your foot will surely clear the walls however before the assault we should let your archers and my crossbows thin the ranks in the walls, my mercenaries from the marches are specially good at this job. I propose we attack at first light tommorow, that should catch unprepared."

    "Of course, the archers will do their work well no doubt, and anything that lessens the load on the foot lessens what they have to complain about.... First light? I like that, perhaps we will still have time to be present when the capitol falls."

    Cletus arrived, slightly later than the others. "I have 2,364 Dismounted Knights at my service, I believe I should deploy them to take the walls and recapture the gate, is that okay with you Ser Estermont?" He blatantly ignores the Tarly, making it clear he thinks little of his house.

    Andrew frowns at the man's ignoration of Tarly but even at being called a "Ser". "Lord Estermont if it pleases you, and indeed your dismounted Knights will be of much use in the walls." Mildly amused at the Dornishman's precise numbers he stated matter of factly "Now my friends we greatly outnumber the enemy! The city will surely be ours... And its riches."

    Cletus frowns in response "I am sure that you mean these riches will soon be under the King of the Summer Islands? I would hate to find out you had other designs upon the treasury. And I apologise for my precision, I like to know exact details when commanding."

    Andrew Estermont grins broadly "Well of course but he promised we would get paid didn't he? Even if we leave the treasury to him there's still an entire town to sack."

    Duncan frowns at the Dornishmen, but quickly adjusts his face into a smile. "Of course, the brave knights of House Yronwood shall be the first up the walls to claim their house glory!"
